Flames of the Forest transports you into a world beyond your imagination so relaxing and uplifting you will never want to leave.

A completely intimate, natural experience set within the candle lit rainforest under a black silk canopy highlighted by crystal and budlight chandeliers, Flames of the Forest will create an unforgettable memory at an extraordinary venue.

Tuesday and Thursday nights feature two local Aboriginal brothers sharing their remarkable culture with you during the evening. The performance features a cultural background, story telling, didgeridoo playing and song. The rainforest is the natural, authentic backdrop for this spiritual and mystical culture, a performance unique to Flames of the Forest, where you will learn about their timeless oral traditions.

Saturday night is for the romantic at heart in this magical place. This intimate evening features a six course tropical tasting menu and quality Australian wines whilst being serenaded by our solo acoustic guitarist. Perfect for honeymooners, small wedding receptions and those seeking a unique dining experience, Flames of the Forest is truly food for the soul.

This tour was a really great experience. After being picked up at our resort we were taking into the countryside to a beautifully lit area. Champagne and canapés were followed by an amazing dinner of exceptional quality and quantity. The Dreamtime stories and playing of the didgeridoo added to an amazing evening.

After we were picked up we were taken to an amazing location full if magical lighting, sounds and a dinning experience to die for. During our courses we are entertained with traditional dream time stories by aboriginal generations. This experience was really memorable and something we'll remember. The bus trip up was a bit terrifying if I do say so myself,... More

Had tried to go here when holidaying 2 years ago so booked as soon as we arrived, and so pleased we did. WOW what a day, had been out snorkelling all day, then this experience that night. The fact you have to go by bus on a private road sets the scene and then to be transported into this candlelit... More

Flames of the Forest is not cheap. As such we had high expectations and I'll admit overall we enjoyed other meals in FNQ more. We went to the Saturday Night Couples Dinner. However, there was nothing wrong with our evening - the pick up and drop off service is very good and the wine was indeed free flowing and enjoyable.... More

I loved the venue and the food was wonderful and it had a lovely ambiance. I was a solo traveler and very aware of the communal dining aspect of the evening before I attended and I was fine with that. I was seated with six people who seemed nice but four of them (who were all friends) were very abrupt... More

Dear Oceandreamings, It was a shame to read your experience with other guests was unpleasant, particularly given you enjoyed the the experience of food and culture. The attitude of others is they only thing (other than the weather!) that is totally out of our control. The evening is inclusive of shared tables as this is in keeping with the indigenous... More

We went the Tuesday night cultural experience. It was both entertaining, enlightening and had plenty of food as well. Although it is quite costly to attend, you are getting a personal experience with the local indigenous brothers in the rain forest the grew up in, it was a privilege to attend.

With family over from Scotland we were looking for that special experience, and we were not disappointed. The setting was beautiful, hospitality lovely and the entertainment spot on. The food was both amazing and plentiful and this is a must do Port Douglas attraction.
