Fun evening. The food was good, the staff efficient and helpful. The location was very nice. We were afraid it would be really buggy, but it wasn't bad. The fire dancers were fun to watch, though the show was not as good as others I've seen. I think the best part was the location, the rainforest at night lit with... More

We really enjoyed almost everything about this night. The music was good and the fire show was as well. The meal was decent, but the kangaroo, which they said they were famous for, just wasn't good. The lemon seasoning was just too strong, to the point of making me think about furniture polish. It was a good night though, and... More

We were with a big group, and I don't know if the band is always there, but we had a blast. The food is wonderful, and the setting is awesome. The dancers were good, and we enjoyed the experience.

Flames lived up to all of our expectations and more. On being picked up at the door of our accommodation were were whisked away into the nearby hills and deposited in a quiet clearing surrounded by fairy light draped trees. With only about 10 or 11 other couples in attendance, tables were well spaced and service excellent. Entertainment was provided... More

When planning our recent vacation my husband & I booked the Saturday "romantic dining experience" with Flames of the Forest, our "romantic dining experience" was also shared with a 40+ person company Christmas party. The shuttle ride back to our resort was basically a door-to-door drunk drop-off for all the local residents that were there for the Christmas party, there... More

Dear elektr0de, We are delighted you enjoyed the atmosphere at Flames - the wildlife performances can certainly be quite a spectacle for visitors! Although group bookings on Saturday nights are not common during the year, we do see some during the Christmas period and we do try to advise our other guests to give them the option of changing evenings.... My husband and I went to Port Douglas for our honeymoon and I surprised him with a night out at Flames of the Forest. It was the most amazing night. The food was excellent (especially the crab tortellini) ,the staff were very friendly and efficient and the musician was so talented. The setting is beautiful and was very romantic. If... More

Fantastic setting with amazing food. The story telling was very interesting and the information about the musical instruments from how they were made to the purpose of them. Torrential rain at the beginning disrupted the flow a little as the welcoming drinks and snacks couldn't be done outside as the people arrived. Mixed tables was very enjoyable and gave chance... We had initially booked for a Tuesday evening performance, but then were notified that the bookings were low and we could either reschedule for that Thursday or get a refund (I think it's the beginning of the slow season in Port Douglas). We opted to rescheduled and despite the rain, the show still took place. The venue was beautiful, tucked... More
