A comparison of two tours.. Agincourt Reef on the mighty Wavepiercer vs the Low Isles on the sombre Wavedancer. Both experiences left at around 10am, returning at 4.30pm. The same coach picked us up for both. Agincourt Reef is an hour and a half out, by a very fast vessel (don't wear a hat outside.. mine nearly sliced a ladies... More

Unlike some other trips to the reef, quicksilver have a pontoon moored close to the reef where a variety of activities are available. These include snorkelling, diving, helicopter trips, semi submersible trips and walking on the ocean floor. The only problem is fitting everything in. Safety is treated very seriously and novices are well catered for, so it is a fabulous... More

From the time you climb on board to the time you get off you will be treated to a relaxing, comfortable, and very unique experience. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Customers are given free coffee, tea, and cookies upon boarding and a choice of decks in which to sit on and enjoy the view. Once reaching the stationary island/port,... More

we went with quicksilver this month, to the Reef, Port Douglass. Had a great time. The crew are a young group, and very professional and experienced. We were looked after very well. Everything ran on a good schedule, lunch, and snacks were all plentiful. The Captain was excellent with his knowledge of where to swim. My husband and I would... More

Overall, great experience snorkeling Quicklsliver and our day on the Great Barrier Reef. There were mechanical issues with our boat the day before so they cancelled our trip on the Poseidon, which was a little stressful since we were international travelers without phone access. But the Quicksilver team was great at getting us on another vessel and making sure we... More

Quicksilver are of the largest providers of tours of the Great Barrier Reef. They get a lot of people through and so do a good job. If you are looking for a less crowded experience, perhaps look at some of the smaller operators.

My husband and I had a fantastic experience with Quicksilver. The boat ride was comfortable and the time spent out in the reef was amazing. The staff are also friendly and knowledgable. The add ons are quite expensive and the food options are not really great for catering to those with intolerances/allergies so bring food if in that situation.

Very professional set up. Gorgeous lunch, comfortable and spacious boat. Great pontoon facilities. Highly recommended for those who are non snorkelers because of these. Definitely recommended.

It was just what we expected it to be. A large boat with a lot of people, snorkelling on the reef with not much colour left in it. They did a good job for the amount of people they cater for. Snorkelling gear was clean. Towels would have been nice. Good experience if you haven't done it. Quite expensive we... More
