We booked onto this trip because it went to the outer reef (Agincourt Reef) & my partner is not a snorkeler or diver so had the opportunity to take a trip on a semi submersible & the underwater viewing platform whilst I was snorkelling. The trip takes about 1 1/2 hours to the reef. It is very well organised with... More

What a wonderful day with plenty to do weather you are a child, teen, or adult, we snorkeled, swan, layed on the beach of the beautiful low isles and did the interpreative walk. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a beautiful day out on the reef, plenty of room on the boat and a delicious lunch. Well... More

This was a great tour. The ride out to the platform was about 1 1/2 hours. The ride there on the catamaran was very comfortable. The crew was really nice and the food was delicious and it never seemed to run out. There were several options to seeing the reef; you could dive, snorkel, go downstairs and look through windows... A great day out, superbly organised, great crew, good food, ideal for first time snorkelers or experienced divers. This trip exceeded our expectations and I have no hesitation in recommending it to fellow travelers.

We went out to Agincourt reef with Quicksilver cruises in October 2014 and had the best experience. The boat ride out to the reef is about 1.45hrs and was smooth sailing all the way. The boat itself is huge, will full food and drink facilities, bathrooms and change areas etc. Once arriving at the pontoon, there are numerous activities to... More

Quicksilver is probably the largest provider of trips to the Great Barrier Reef out of Port Douglas and their operation is smooth and efficient with plenty of staff to help and inform you. The boat trip takes one and a half hours each way to the large pontoon moored on the outer GBR and once it docks at the pontoon... More

An adventure for sure. We snorkeled with the marine biologist ($56 a person) who was informative and patient. For years we have seen documentaries regarding the Great Barrier Reef. To see it up close and personal was thrilling. We had no big expectactions so we weren't disappointed. Just to see the different kinds of coral was amazing ... different shapes,... More

The coral is beautiful and the boat is clean and large. Every clue are kind and friendly, professional manner. The diver called Ken was very kind to give us all necessary information. We had a very wonderful time. The lunch was awesome, too.

For a first time snorkeller, I found the knowledge and experience of the crew invaluable in making me feel comfortable with snorkelling in choppy waters. They offer noodles (floatations aids) and floatations vests for those who were weak swimmers. Despite the conditions I had a great time snorkelling. The underwater photographer also captured some cool photos. And if you want... More
