I have been on this trip 4 times of 15 years. The last was Easter 2014. I went with my 12 year old and elderly mother who is 83 and has had a knee reconctruction. Firstly I take umbrage at Quicksilver response here in previous posts that they are being price competitive by not including the $7 stinger suit in... More

What a great day, not having snorkelled for over 20 years I decided to have a go anyway, donned the stinger suit, and took to the water - I was hopeless!! after floundering around getting in everyone's way gave up, but what a great experience. Did manage to keep my head under long enough to see some fish! The semi... More

From the minute we met the bus driver that was to take us to Port Douglas, we knew we had made the right decision! All very organized and professional. They pay acute attention to safety....a lot of staff to make sure that everyone is safe and doing what they were instructed to do. The ride out was great....not too much... More

With 3 certified scuba divers and one snorkel only, Poseidon managed to satisfy us all. The crew were first class, putting myself and my children in a group together that catered for our scuba diving experience and qualifications. The briefings from Chris were clear and thorough, and the best I have ever had. It was long and bumpy ride out... More

Go with a smaller company to see the reef. You wont feel so rushed/cramped and charges like stinger suits are included in the price. The platoon was a great way of seeing the reef for anyone who isn't keen on being in the water all day. I was travelling with an older person so this worked ok for us. Glass... More

Hi leemcp, Thanks for taking the time to write your review and travelling with us. We certainly agree that a pontoon is a great way to see the reef, particularly if you don't want or need to get in the water. We thought it prudent to respond to your review as the title you chose for the review is a... More

My partner and I have a 2 yr old daughter so when I researched appropriate cruises for her, the Quicksilver cruise to the Agincourt reef pontoon definitely seemed like the best option. The day we arrived in Cairns it was rainy and windy. I called Quicksilver and they said it straight to me, don't go, it's too rough. I called... More

One of the best days of our lives! Great first dive experience for the parents and the teens alike. Zoe took our teenagers down and was great with them; as well as showing them the underwater sights she also got them doing somersaults and made it such good fun for them. All the staff were full of encouragement for the... More

As neither my husband or I wanted to dive or snorkel, we were a little apprehensive as to what we would get from this trip. We needn't have been concerned as the Quicksilver Tour is excellent for people who don't want to go in the water. Most of the reviews here provide excellent testimony to the high quality service that... More

Went with quicksilver on a reef tour as my wife did not want to get in the water but wanted to see the reef. Absolutely loved the day. Went on the submersible which was awesome and goes so close to the coal with lots of fish and turtles to see. Then did 2 intro dives with instructors Hong and Hiromi.... More

We were contemplating cancelling our booking due to the poor weather. The ladies at the booking centre were completely honest and advised exactly what the boat trip would be like and made sure we were happy to go. As this was a birthday treat, we risked it. None of us get sea sick but took all the medication just in... More
