This was a great "zoo" or wildlife exhibit as you would call it. The staff were very courteous and we were even able to follow around a curator as he fed the birds and get a narrative session on their habitats. It was fantastic! more

My title says it all. A great breakfast, really enjoyed the selection of fruits, some that we have never seen before, but on a note about the birds.. Don't leave you plate to go to the loo and expect to come back and find it full. I made the mistake of doing just that and came back to birds having... more

In terms of getting up close and personal with Australian wildlife, the Habitat is one of the best places I have been to in Australia - and I have been to quite a few. I lived in Port Douglas for nearly a year and managed to experience quite a few different attractions and the Habitat is my most recommended. The... more

This was our second time to the Sanctuary (had been 10 years ago), and it has grown a bit, but there was no negative impact. This is a place that you can enjoy in one day (and not feel that you have missed anything/not got to see everything). We went at opening and headed straight for the Grasslands. While most... more

We went here to try the Breakfast with the Birds, but my favorite part was feeding the wallabies. Breakfast with the Birds is an adventure to be sure! We weren't quite prepared for how aggressive some of the birds (especially the lorikeets) are to try and get some of your brekky. The food was alright. The hot food wasn't anything... more

Loved it - went early for Breakfast with the Birds and had a really yummy breakfast - eggs, bacon, sausages, gorgeous fresh tropical fruit, cereals, croissants - and all while watching the birds who flew around and one landed (again and again) on the table to say hi. We then wandered around the various habitats and saw the lovely animals... more

Breakfast with the Birds at the Rainforest Habitat Sanctuary is such a great experience. Make sure you go early, we were first there at 8am and the birds came straight to our table to share our breakfast. The birdsong is really loud and wonderful to hear. There are all sorts of amazing birds of all sizes. The rainbow lorikeets drank... more

Just go there. At least don't leave Port Douglas without this. First of all the food is good, second of all it's fun to sit with the birds. Scare the crane and the canary is stealing your juice :-) Also there are crocodiles and kangaroos you can feed by hand - absolutely good fun more

We had a great experience at the Wildlife Sanctuary. Started off by renting bikes from Port Douglas and riding to the Sanctuary for lunch! Great variety of food and alot of fruit selection. The birds were great entertainment for lunch. Enjoyed seeing the koala bears, had fun with roos, and saw the crocs move! Overall, great experience for two grown... more
