I chose Wavelength based on their small group and pure snorkelling and was not disappointed. They were impressive from being picked up by the bus to being dropped home - efficient and organised. Sea-sickness can be a problem travelling on a relatively small boat but the supply of travel-sickness medications was able to prevent even me who gets seasick easily... more

My husband and I had the experience of a lifetime snorkeling with Wavelength Reef Charters this year. Even though my husband knows how to scuba dive, we opted to see the reef by snorkeling because you get to spend more time at more sites without the hassles of scuba gear. Besides, everything worth seeing is in the top few meters... more

We picked Wavelength because we wanted a relatively small group experience, with some sense of freedom. We got everything we hoped for. Maximum group size is 30, and the team (Jeremiah and Rachel) were great. Everything was done with a sense of humor. While the less experienced could have as much assistance and tuition as they liked, space was also... more

On Nov. 17th my daughter and I enjoyed the outer reef tour on Wavelength with Captain John and experienced marine biologists Chris (who did an amazing job filming the entire adventure) and Jeremiah. We had gone on two reef tours previously so doubted there was much left to see, but this one was an experience not to be missed! It... more

My husband and I went on a Wavelength snorkel trip last week and had and absolutely awsome day! There were lots of stand out features for us including having two marine biologists as our tour guides one of which 'Chris' who is also a keen underwater photographer which means for $30 (the cost of a throw away underwater camera) you... more

Fantastic staff, Jo at the front desk (who not only pronounced my name properly which is uncommon she also remembered it and greeted me with a big smile the next day) to Jane, Chris and John on board, all really friendly and helpful. I was overly keen to get in the water but they were very attentive to those on... more

Hi there I've been on both boats. Wavelengh is definitly the better decision! Wavelengh is a small catamaran with up to 30 Passengers and on Posseidon are up to 80 or sometimes even more passengers. On Wavelengh you can just snorkel, but that is a big advance, cause the coral reef is really close to the surface and the active... more

I can not praise these guys more, and usually I am not always happy, but that day I was. We went out on a particularly rough day which was made clear to us before going. I was a bit apprehensive as I tend to get quite sea sick. Well I was sick however they were awesome with bringing me icey... more

I have NEVER written a report for Tripadvisor before where I was a little disappointed - I say this so you know I am not one of those people who is never happy with things. I booked this trip and was really looking forward to it.This may have affected my expectations therefore. We were greeted by a very friendly lady... more

Snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef was the highlight of our trip to Australia and I would highly recommend that you book with Wavelength in Port Douglas. They have a small boat, only catering to snorkelers so not a minute of time is wasted. We visited three sites displaying the vast diversity of the GBR. The staff was very professional... more
