This was an amazing trip... So high up... Good as you could get off at the stations and walk about a bit... We did it as part of a package with the karunda train which paled into insignificance when being compared to the sky rail...

I found out by accident the day before our barrier reef flight that this company is no longer operating. I booked well in advance and was not contacted at all to let me know. Fortunately I had not paid in advance and was able to get a flight with GBR helicopters instead.

Our husband and I booked a helicopter ride over the Great Barrier Reef as part of our honeymoon down under. We were told upon arrival that the sandy beach in the reef where helicopters land on have strict requirements, no other helicopter or boat can be anchored on the island and since there are other tours, there is a possibility... Booked an ultimate reef and rainforest 1 hour flight. The pilot was great and very knowledgeable!! We went right up Mossman Gorge, over the Daintree River and the Daintree, then out to Bat Reef. Out there we saw multiple stingrays, sharks, manta rays and turtles. We even managed to see a Dugong and her calf! Fantastic. Would definately recommend them.

Last week, I was lying on the bed reading a book at our villa in Port Douglas, and my partner Joe suggested we walk down to the beach. However, once in town, he diverted me to the marina which is in a totally different direction. Confused, I was led to a helicopter that was set down on the wharf. Bradley... More

The Solitary Sandy Cay is a must for anyone romantic or not. From the hotel pick-up to the drop-off it was sheer decadence. We can't praise the guys enough. This was truly an experience of a lifetime. The flights both to and from the Cay were not only pleasant but full of interesting comentary and awesome views. Landing on the... More

Skysafari may not be the biggest company in town but they should be. Started off with car pick up, safety briefing and then the most amazing 50min flight over Batt and Tongue reefs in the Great Barrier Reef. Alex was an awesome pilot and found us reef sharks, rays, multiple turtles and after speaking to a marine biologist, most likely... More

A great way to see Port Douglas and the surrounding areas. The company picks you up from your hotel, takes you up and then drops you back off. A must do.

We did the Rainforest and Reef Tour and were greeted by Alex who was our pilot. He was very professional but hilariously funny at the same time and made us feel very safe. He is a well-trained tour guide and knew so many things about the region. His flying was fantastic as far as we can tell (first time in... More

At almost every place we visit, an aerial tour is compulsory if offered! The Sky Safari was just brilliant. Ryan the pilot took us out to the Lower Isles where I got a view of the Great Barrier Reef when 2 days earlier I had seen it at sea level!! Plain awesome helicopter ride and great views of the landscape... More
