I had never been snorkelling untill i tried poseidon, the staff laid all my fears to rest as they were supportive and helpful and very informative, we went to three different reefs that day and although the weather was not great and the water was very choppy they still gave us the best experience they could with the weather. We also... more

I just got back from Australia and during my stay in Cairns I booked a day of dives with Poseidon. It's about an hour drive from where we were staying in Cairns to Port Douglas where the boat departs, but well worth the early wake up call. Next time I'm in Australia, I'm going to just stay in Port Douglas... more

We recently stayed at Port Douglas and snorkelled the Great Barrier Reef with Poseidon. The crew were extremely pleasant and well organised. We had a great day and snorkelled three amazing locations. The crew made every feel very comfortable and provided fantatsic support to all divers and snorkellers regardless of their ability and experience. We highly recommend a day at... more

Hi there I've been on both boats. Wavelengh is definitly the better decision! Wavelengh is a small catamaran with up to 30 Passengers and on Posseidon are up to 80 or sometimes even more passengers. On Wavelengh you can just snorkel, but that is a big advance, cause the coral reef is really close to the surface and the active... more

I went diving with Poseidon for three dives on the 10th of november. The whole organisation was perfect. Certified divers, beginners and snorkel were seperatly catered by crew. The boat is a very comfortable catamaran with enough seating. The crew was enthousiastic, very torough (certification, medication...) and professional. They let everybody feel welcome and were quit funny. The dive equipement... more

The entire crew on Poseidon were cheerful, helpful and friendly despite the rain and cloudy weather. The 'cruise' to the reef sites was rough but I took the travelcalm tabs early so it didn't ruin my day. We got to choose whether to snorkel or dive at 3 different sites. I chose to dive at all 3. My partner chose... more

We have dived all round the world. We have taken day dive trips in 4 different Australian states including 8 different companies taking us to reefs in Queensland, and Poseidon has become the standard we measure the others by. You probably won't be surprised if I say that we have been out to the outer Great Barrier reef with Poseidon... more

For someone who's afraid of being underwater you may not think that a scuba dive is a good idea... however, when visiting Port Douglas, how could I not try to see the Great Barrier Reef! Anyway, I was very nervous, and wasn't sure that I could do it - that was until I met Herald (pronounced Harold!), a lovely Dutch... more
