Diving staff was really professional and friendly. During the safety briefing for first time divers they made sure to explain everything in great detail, if you had any questions they did not hesitate to answer at all. During my first dive Jess made sure to once again show all the skills clearly so that you knew exactly what to do.... More

Firstly me and my partner booked the reef kist day trip through CDC shop whilst looking round cairns and the staff in the shop where great, very informative and helpful. The price wasn't too bad either The main reason we booked with them was they had availability the next day to dive and the friendly attitude from the staff in... More

We had a great liveaboard experience with CDC and Kangaroo Explorer. 14 dives and 5ish snorkels in 4 days. The staff was fantastic, knowledgeable, and lots of fun. Shoutouts to Carlos, Chelsea, Yuta, Seabass, Christina, Katie, Brice, Edward, Kevin, Clinton, Chef, skipper, the hosties and vollies. You guys made the best out of some less than desirable wind conditions. Great... More

We went in this company because they said they do introductory divings for people never did it before, but I had the worst experience ever! the female member of staff in charge of the diving that day (Lauren) was incredibly rude, not making anybody feel safe with her, when we asked questions she trated you like you are dumb for... This goes up there as one of the worst days of my life. As the boat left the harbour, we could see smoke coming out of the exhaust. My boyfriend then asked a member of the crew if it was okay, to which he was told it was normal. Well, after about an hour and a half of travelling, the... More

We had a great trip cost us $200AUD pp that was for a certified diver & an intro. We also got to do unlimited snorkelling whilst on the reefs for no added costs. Food was lovely and plentiful. Large boat, Reef sites weren't the best a lot of damaged degraded coral but saw turtles and clown fish and lots of... More

I had never SCUBA dived before so I signed up for their beginner certification course. My instructor Ethan was absolutely the best. He made it easy to learn and kept it highly entertaining! 4 days of instruction and training dives and now I'm certified! Oh, of course the Great Barrier Reef is incredibly gorgeous and we were able to see... More

Short version: avoid kangaroo explorer. Liveaboard diving should be a brilliant experience, and this was dangerously sub-par. Allow me to explain. It's not the worst experience, not a bad one, but wasn't _fun_. Especially not for the money I spent. I spent 2.5 times as much ($800 vs $2000) diving with Deep Sea Divers for the same length of time... More
