This Island is great. A couple of different points to snorkel where you can see coral, fish, clams and turtles. Walks through the rainforests to get to various points on the island. We stayed and while at the higher end of the market we would recommend it to anybody, the cost includes your breakfast, island transfers, glass bottom boat rides,... More

Ahhhhh Cairns, this is truly well worth visiting, and Green Island is just terrific, I was there twice, Cairns is great, I found it to be a safe city, great local people, just take the usual precaurions that you would take whilst touring anywhere ! Be careful of the Box Jellyfish on the Beaches which are very photogenic ! There's... More

The most venomous jellyfish in the world may be present in these waters, to avoid a possibly deadly sting, swimmers are required shell out FIFTY DOLLARS to hire a stinger suit... How about instead of profiting from peoples mortality, they provide them free of charge? On the beach, if you want to sit down on a deck chair you will... More

We went on the Green Island Reef tour for $238 each, booked through a travel agency in Palm Cove. The tour included transfers from Palm Cove to Marlin Wharf which was good. Plus tea/coffee to make on the boat, entry to the pool in the middle of the island and the choice of snorkel equipment (snorkel mask + fins) OR... More

This is one of the most beautiful islands to visit for a day trip. I was there many years ago but I wouldn't think that much has changed over the years. The water is so clear and the fish life is amazing. Worth the trip.

Disappointing island. Nothing much to see. Coral mostly damaged and fish a bit sparse. Once you've mooched about in the water snorkelling, only a cafe there.

We chose Green Island by a recommendation from a friend and we weren't disappointed. Since it was the shortest trip which suited me fine since I suffer from motion sickness, when we arrived it was very windy, but that didn't stop us for exploring, we went on the glass bottom boat which was great. also went to the croc display and... Was expecting more after all the hype about Green Island and what it has to offer. Took a day cruise there and found not much to look at. Cruise from Port Douglas offers far more value for money.

The trip across by ferry takes 45 minutes. Then you can wander the island, snorkel, go diving, go parasailing or go in a glass bottom boat. So many choices and I'm sure everyone can find something they would like to do. We did the glass bottom boat and it was fantastic. Saw lots of fish, turtles and corals. Loved it!

Ive been here and the second time I actually got to see more (since I had more time, the first time I came I was short on time, you'll need more than an hour to explore). You don't have to walk much and there's plenty of facilities and safety guards on patrol for us while swimming. Who knows whats in... More
