If you wish to see the beautiful corals, fish and other life of the Great Barrier Reef, then I suggest you watch one of the many videos online, or go to one of the excellent aquariums in big Australian cities. If you want to see the amazing macro spectacle of the extent and colour of the Reef, then find a... More

One of the most beautiful parts of Australia. A must see and worth the distance to travel. Great for a day trip exploring the island and reef. Bring beach wear, snorkelling and diving gear...

Amazing mystique place, fantastic hotel hidden behind the wall of tropical vegetation , the most beautiful hotel rooms I have ever seen and swimming with marine turtles is simply unforgetable experience. There is nothing I could say I didnt like.

Great spot 45 minutes/ 1.5 hours outside cairns for families. We swam with turtles, saw plenty of fish, relaxed on the pristine beaches, visited the crocodiles and made sure we did the semi-submarine and glass bottom boat with our 5 and 2 year old. Everyone had a fantastic day!

We were able to view the reef fish and then try snorkelling in shallow waters for the first time together. The water colour was clear with beautiful coloured fish. My daughter and I were so excited swimming with the beautiful reef fish, also we loved the beach and wildlife on the Island. A great day trip to be shared with... More

Whilst the sights were absolutely stunning and snorkelling was fun, there wasn't much to do if you are staying the whole day and dont intend on spending your entire life savings.Food was overpriced but undercooked, and there wasn't much of it unless you went to the restaurants. The worst part was the pesty birds that actually attack you to get... More

We have a 2 year old who loves to swim but not good enough to head out to the reef. This trip was a great decision for us with beach action and some reef/fish viewing on the glass bottom boat. We took the 10.30 ferry out and 2.30 back. It was very short stay but I knew we wouldn't last... More

Green Island lies several miles off Cairns as part of the Great Barrier Reef. It is developed with a pier, shops, places to eat and a small resort. The beaches are nice and the snorkeling is okay but not spectacular. To get a better experience of the Reef, you will need to take a boat trip further out for snorkeling... More
