An enourmous range of trees and plants. Info could be better presented. Lovely place to spend half a day. Its on the open bus tour route.

Our visit to this garden was fabulous. There is so much to see and the presentation is excellent. The walks in the garden are great. This is not the first time we have visited and we were not disappointed. Different flowers emerge at different times of the year so it is not easy to suggest the best time of year;... More

Wear good shoes and take water, plan on spending a few hours on the trails. The gardens are beautiful, be quiet and patient and you will be amazed.

Best of all are the forest boardwalks. Different types of forest (paperbark, swamp, lowland rainforest) with many wild birds. Flowers. Lakes. Pelicans fishing in groups. Utterly fascinating wildlife park. Recommended.

If you cannot make it up to the Daintree Rain Forest, consider stopping at the Botanic Gardens for a taste of the area's flora.

It was ok, but it basically felt like they had just left a piece of rainforest untouched. Lots of boardwalking through stinky swamps and not much else. No different, interesting sections and the café was quite overpriced.

I highly suggest going. It's free and easy to navigate- there are self walking tour brochures in the visitor's center. Lots of native flowers and trees. One of my favorite areas is the Aboriginal section. Also stop by Tank 4- they usually have an art show

Lovely place to go for a few hours. Kids learned a lot about nature and the walks are not to strenuous. Only thing was the cafe, bit dated and could do with a face lift but the food was ok.
