Owner description: Muddy's playground is open every day of the year between 9am and 7pm (including public holidays and weekends). Sections of Muddy's are closed for maintenance on Tuesday and Thursday mornings until noon. Even when maintenance works are being carried out, Council aims to have at least half the playground available for use. Muddy's is a modern, fun, safe, splash playground and parkland. It incorporates active, passive, interactive and educational facilities with a combination of play equipment. Muddy's playground is themed "Life in Trinity Bay" and the playground includes water play areas plus a flying fox, sound chimes, track ride, rope bridge, slides, play houses, story telling areas, see-saw, trick track and puzzle games. Please note that the disabled-use Liberty Swing uses the MLAK national keying system. For access please ask at Muddy's cafe. Muddy's has two toilet facilities one at the north end of Muddy's near the cafe and one at the southern end of Muddy's. Muddy's has barbecues, picnic tables and an on-site cafe.

Great spot to let the kids run a little wild. Plenty of natural shade with lovely big trees and a great breeze from the water. Good spots to sit and and watch the activity. Separate area for,the smaller children.

now this is a very cool place for kids. Lots of play activities, water works, swings and slides. A nice cafe is on site as well as just outside the playground. Lots of shady trees and BBQ stations.

We took our two girls (aged 8 and 11) here for a play. Miss 8 had fun but Miss 11 got bored quite quickly, so I'd probably say this is perfect for the younger children. Only stayed 1/2 hour as they were keen to get back in the pool at our hotel but excellent facility with a café and plenty... More

This place is great, after leaving the Strand in Townsville, we were hoping to find an alternative play area in Cairns and we did, here at Muddy's There are water fountains for the kids to cool down under, numerous play areas for all age groups as well as plenty of shady spots for parents to set up camp There is... Plenty of interesting climbing apparatus, swings and slides for the kids as well as splashing about with jets of water gurgling up - great way to cool off after a play on the equipment. Take plenty of sunscreen!

Excellent spot for children. There's a few play grounds for different age groups. Don't forget there bathers as there's water fountains for the kids to run through or just stand or sit on them. Young toddlers always seem to be fascinated by the fountains and where is the water coming from. Best to take your own food and not buy... More

We are locals here in Cairns & our young children just love coming here! They love the water features & love to interact with other children. A great place to wear out the kids so they can have a good nap when you get home.

I find this place convenient but overpriced. The meals 'do' because we are there with the kids. Usually try to pack our own and go somewhere better. Slow service and dis-organised staff.

Lovely, peaceful shady playground facility with a terrific view and heaps of spots for parents to sit and watch the kids get drenched. We are spoilt (from Brisbane) by the SouthBank water play and park precinct so our bar for water play zones is already rather high, but this location also has excellent facilities both in the multiple playground and... If you have kids you must take them to Muddy's on the Esplanade in Cairns. There is a huge playground that caters for all ages, water play and even a cafe in the middle for worn out parents to rest. There are also BBQ's around to enjoy a meal on the foreshore. Highly recommended.
