Description: Muddy's playground is open every day of the year between 9am and 7pm...
Muddy's playground is open every day of the year between 9am and 7pm (including public holidays and weekends). Sections of Muddy's are closed for maintenance on Tuesday and Thursday mornings until noon. Even when maintenance works are being carried out, Council aims to have at least half the playground available for use. Muddy's is a modern, fun, safe, splash playground and parkland. It incorporates active, passive, interactive and educational facilities with a combination of play equipment. Muddy's playground is themed "Life in Trinity Bay" and the playground includes water play areas plus a flying fox, sound chimes, track ride, rope bridge, slides, play houses, story telling areas, see-saw, trick track and puzzle games. Please note that the disabled-use Liberty Swing uses the MLAK national keying system. For access please ask at Muddy's cafe. Muddy's has two toilet facilities one at the north end of Muddy's near the cafe and one at the southern end of Muddy's. Muddy's has barbecues, picnic tables and an on-site cafe.

With 2 little kiddies, this is an awesome way to break up a day in Cairns, if we need to go shopping or do other stuff! We always pack the swimmers if we know that we will be going anywhere near it! Would be even better if there was more seating for the adults but it doesn't stop us going... More

There is a coffee shop/cafe on site, lovely walk along the esplanade, lots of room and shady. My only concern is that it can be hard to keep an eye on little ones - prepare to be on the move rather than sit and relax. unless your kids are a little older.

Great playground with water fountains and a snack shop. Some of the best fish and chips in town. Lots of playground equipment and some innovative and interactive musical displays.

Just walked past the place as I was out for a stroll. It looked like lots of fun for kids on a hot day. Good use of Council money. It's nice to see practical art - not art for the sake of it.

Excellent set-up for young children. Our 4 year old granddaughter enjoyed it immensely. There's a little cafe on the side. Nice walk along the Esplanade to get there.

Our kids love everything here! The water area is always packed so it pays to be there right on 9am to secure a good spot. BYO picnic and drinks though. The cafe is overpriced and the wait time for your order is crazy long.

A huge playground suitable for different age groups. The playground is so big that you can't keep your eyes on all kids at all times but otherwise great!

Muddy's is a great place to take young children. This is a water playground so bathers etc. The equippment is fun and bright, with some interesting architect! The play area is all secured by a child proof ffence, so no escaping children. It is set on the Northern Side of the Esplanade so you also have the bonus of a very beautiful... More

This was a well kept kids playground and kept them busy for a while! I found the café there a little pricey but great views and service. Toilets / changing rooms average. Lots of different areas for kids to,play
