Excellent free water park on seafront, highly recommend for families, close to everything, parking at reasonable rates

This is an amaing wonderland for the kiddies. There are parks, climbing, water and its all free. There is also amenities and a cafe so they have thought of everything. It is right on on the esplanade too so there is a view too.

On a hot day in Cairns we walked to Muddy's Cafe and playground. The fish and chips were rather good. We overlooked the mudflats and sea which gave us a pleasant breeze. Loved the playground. Lots of water play and things for kids to have fun with.

Absolutely the only place to take the little ones to keep them amused and cool on a hot day. You can also get a coffee or meal whilst watching the kids playing in the water....very safe.

We stayed opposite this playground & it was great to see so many young children enjoying themselves amongst the slides, swings etc. & the parents being able to sit down at the cafe which is part of the playground...great venue for parents & kids.

huge area of play equipment .. fun for all (under 1.2m!!) adults hands off... so many things to wear them out.. don't wear sunday best.... this is a play park with water... kids.. have fun!

Great ideas for the little ones, there is simply no better way to spend your afternoon than to play with water, mud and climb on the seasaw at muddy's playground. It's close to the lagoon pool, just a quick walk along the Esplanade, and there are benches to sit on and it's nice and shady.

This is well set up with much of the area fenced from the nearby roads. The cafe is situated in the middle of two play areas that are designed for younger children and then older children; so there's something for everyone. Muddy's is wonderful with a great range of water fountains etc and great playground facilities. What I really like is that the ares for small and older children are segregated so the little ones are not daunted by older children.
