This was a good place to snorkel and it was nice to walk on the sand - however, I read reviews that half the island is fenced off for the bird sanctuary. Um no - the entire island is fenced off for the bird sanctuary. I was imagining an area you could frolic in but really there is just room... More

She wants say specially thank you to Tom, Jack, their knowledge and manner left specially good impression on my friend. The photographer, Nataly was very frienddly and helpful, eventhough my friend did not have money to buy... More

Travelled to Michaelmas Cay with Ocean Spirit cruises . What a great day for lazing on the beach , snorkelling to explore the coral reef or scuba diving. The cay itself wasn,t very big and was occupied by a lot of birds making acess restricted but it was still an enjoyable day.

Turtles and different fish, white sand and gorgeous coral. Amazing! Take a cruise with Seastar Cruises out there, it is a showcase of all that the Great Barrier Reef is known for and Seastar are one of the few that have a permit to go there.

We travelled to Michaelmas Cay on a day cruise and had an enjoyable enough time doing some snorkelling on the reef at the Cay. Not a whole lot of fish but some of the best coral we have seen anywhere in the world. The Cay also hosts a large bird colony which is interesting. However, as the cay is effectively... More

Flew over this cay with Nautilus Aviation and it took my breath away. We must look after our planet. Awesome indeed.

I had a wonderful, amazing, fantastic....can't describe it time there! There are some tour groups are going to, so you can get a nice convenience and comfortable boat trip to get there. It takes about two hours from Cairns, but the tour boat has a good service. Not too much shaking because the boat is a catamaran type having high... More

I was very pleased when i reached this cay, white sand over a blue sea. I have to admit that the birds are quite noisy and smelly, but it's their house not ours so we have to respect it. Better to spend your time in the sea snorkelling, you can see lots of different corals and some fishes. I expected... More

This is a sandy island on the surface of a coral reef in the middle of the ocean! It is just amazing to walk on the sand and see only ocean around you. Despite the ok snorkeling (was expecting more..) and the unpleasant smell (there are like a million birds living in the cay), it definitely was worth the visit.... More
