Worth the day trip but after a few waterfalls, I was waterfalls-out. Paid $42 pp to enter Paronella Park which is not worth it at all.

Went to Parenello Park.Saw this place on Getaway and thought I'd like to check it out. Price ($42 per adult) was a bit exxy for what it is but nice all the same. Staff a very friendly witht the owner greeting all arriving visitors which is a lovely touch. Coffee and food at the cafe was well priced. The owners... More

Way overpriced and, not affordable unless you have money to throw away. You can see better ruins in the Cairns parks, some still alive!

We had been joined by our daughter from Sydney for a few days and she had a rental car so we decided to take the round trip up to the Tablelands. It was a very nice day out indeed, went up via Kuranda with its markets, then on through Mareeba, Atherton etc., and generally felt it was the best day of... Casle (Panorella) was amazing, staff were exceptionally good. Scenery around the tablelands was very nice, plenty to stop and see

We rented a car to drive this area to see Australian countryside. Our main goal was to visit the various waterfalls along the route. The route is marked very well for most of the waterfalls and they are very easy to access. We got some great photos of the falls. We don't recommend the OUTRAGEOUSLY priced visit to the Spanish... don't miss the opportunity to take a tour through the Atherton tablelands with the most beautiful waterfalls, and natural beauty to be in awe of. The Spanish castles are included in this tour and this was incredible to think this man produced hydro electric power for his family and built such a beautiful home garden for his family. Would have... More

You will discover all types of activities going on in the Tablelands area. Especially the waterfalls on the Loop Road. Very interesting to see the types of agriculture and cropping in this area.

It was a wonderful independent day trip by car. I highly recommend to rent a car to drive there. We drove from Cairns. We turned right at the intersection in Gordonvale, drove a lot of switch backs (you will feel sick) up to the top, stopped at Lake Barrine (toilet! restaurant and a small boat) crossed Yungaburra (a small deli,... Trip was boring. Our day tour spent too long making toilet stops and morning tea and afternoon tea as well as lunch stops which ate into the day. We also wasted time being taken to a dairy shop when we thought we were on a sightseeing tour. The whole afternoon was spent at the Spanish Castle- not great! Much better... More
