Stunning views of the countryside. Great day out from the town. Gorgeous waterfalls that you can swim in too.

We loved Paronella Park, did the day and night tour, night tour with the lights was awesome. Staff were friendly and the guide was informative, we fed fish and eels and went into a little cave with bats.

We drove around one day into the rainforest where it was cooler and the growth was dense. The most beautiful, quiet place with no one around and with the sound of waterfalls in the distance. Another reason to love Cairns.

We did an all tour with Northern Experience of this area. The areas chosen were good, guide was very nice and time allotments for each place were good. The only negative was the afternoon "tea' which was in a park with no chairs and very poorly done.

The curtain fig tree is cool, and the waterfalls are beautiful. But this was a FULL day of driving. If you are going to do it, be prepared for that. Beyond those two sites, nothing else along the route seemed worthwhile.

We rented a car in Cairns and drove to the waterfall circuit, it was an amazing time. We loved doing it ourselves and taking time to enjoy the day, swimming and eating etc. It is well worth a visit.

Loved the heritage story and the beautiful natural environment. Waterfalls impressive and everything was so green.

The tablelands is a great scenic drive in good weather though the waterfall drive isn't fantastic. The falls are close together but only 1 that you can swim at. The castle is expensive to go into and not alot to do.

Traveled about 250 K through some very scenic tropical areas, lush green meadows, amazing water falls, thick forest canopies., birds, forest creatures, various kinds of plants and trees living in amazing relationships;

Cost me $120 for a family of 5, it's interesting the tour and the lady that does the guided walk really draws you into how it was back in the day, but not exactly child friendly and quite honestly looks like it's all about to collapse, gotta be fit for this trip!
