We took a coach tour from our cruise ship to Kuranda Skyrail from Cairns. The coach went up the winding road to the top and you could see the cable car track as you went. You can do the tour up and return but if doing one way the down part is expansive of the rainforest and surrounding coastline. There... More

It was hot, muggy day, so be prepared to sweat. The aboriginal cultural centre was fun and informative. Try the boomerang throwing, its good fun. Skyrail is marvellous. The views are immense. We visited the Koala zoo on Kuranda; a pleasant place where you can see crocs, snakes and get your photo taken with a koala. The scenic rail tour... More

An amazing way to see the beautiful rainforest of northern Queensland. If you are short of time you can go straight through the look outs and to the end station in either smithfield, cairns or kuranda in around 45 minutes (not including waiting in lines). If you have time I recommend that you get off at the stops, Red Peak... More

The Skyrail was fantastic but the return on the train was hot and cramped. Book the gold class carriage if going.

Were were on a Royal Caribbean Cruise and took this trip while visiting Cairns. This trip can be done much cheaper than Royal Caribbean offer on the ship. We were taken by bus to the Skyrail for the journey up to Kuranda . The Skyrail was an enjoyable journey through the rain forest, there were 2 stops on the route... More

The experience starts at the Tuapukai Cultural Centre, an experience of Aboriginal culture & art, before taking the Skyrail up to Kurunda. Ensure that you stop off at one of the treetop walks for great views & chance to get close to some of the local wildlife.

We took the train up to Kuranda and had a lovely ride there with great scenery and this took about an hour and a half. The village itself is a very nice place to spend a few hours and there are plenty of places to eat. We came back on the skyrail and this was the highlight of the day.... More

What a great day this was! We got the Skyrail up and spent a couple of hours in Kuranda and then got the train back. Well worth the money spent
