If this is your thing then worth a visit

If your into the markets then this place is worth a visit. There is a great array of fresh produce and other foods as well as the typical market stalls.

Rusty's markets are nothing to write home about. Good place for breakfast or lunch with the differant food trucks but the market it self was fairly ordinary.

I admit I enjoyed looking at the fruit and vegetables and grimacing over how cheap some things were compared to Adelaide! But the fact is few travellers have the need for such large amounts of produce (or perhaps I should say I had little need as I tend to eat out). The goods felt touristy and gimmicky like many of... This is the best and freshest posibility to buy fruits! You have to try the fresh coconuts on the oposit of the entrence. They are incredible good!!! And after the juice they open it for you and you can taste the flesh. But the best is the Saigon Hut. A vietnamese kitchen at the exit. Incredible good food, big portions... More

Good products, nice environment, and easy to access. There is a lot of test food like fruit and avocados. Thai food, juices, etc.

We buy our fruit and veg here every weekend. It's got a much larger variety on offer than the local supermarket and much cheaper! I can get for $35 what I would have to spend at least $50 for in Coles or Woolworhts. There are quite a few fruits/veg that I can't name - more rare tropical/asian varieties, it's always... More

We visited early on a Saturday morning. Most of the stalls were set up. The majority offer a nice variety of fruits and vegetables. The prices are reasonable. The produce is excellent. There is a bread seller. There is a coffee stand and also a separate stand where ground coffee and beans are sold. There a few other items most... More

I wanted to get my fix of tropical fruits and special indigenous foods. Never saw any indigenous foods, I did get some tropical fruits, prices were up there and every stall had the same stock. Can get this stuff at melbournes Vic market. It was clean and small, don't go out of your way to go hear just if you're... More

North Queensland's selection of fresh fruit at reasonable prices is a highlight of a visit to this region. The selection at Rusty's Market on a Sunday was extensive and the quality excellent. As we were only staying two days,we restricted ourselves to a melon, passionfruit, and wonderful, tablelands grapes. Had we been staying longer, the capsicums, heritage potatoes, green veggies,... Opens early every Friday, Saturday and Sunday and definitely worth a visit. Wide variety of stalls and plenty of bargains to be had and a wonderful array of the best quality local produce. We go early on Friday and Saturday as parking is free up to 8am and there are less people.
