Unlike a lot of casino's I have visited the atmosphere at the Reef was not dull and gloomy - didn't make you feel it was perpetual night time. Well laid out and plenty of choses of games, machines etc to get involved with. Also a range of food available.

After finding ourselves with a free afternoon in Cairns on one of those rare days where the weather was better inside than out , we thought we would see what the casino had to offer . The reef Casino is small by comparison to the others we have been to ( Sydney , Melbourne, and The Treasury, (Brisbane)) but it... More

Front desk receptionist, 'Leanne', fixed us up with a casino membership card. She was a lovely lady, very helpful & pleasant. Free to join & this gives you $10 meals at Flinders Bar & Grill restaurant on Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays. This casino is smaller than other Australian casinos we have visited. Their poker machines, which are located on two... More

It is what it is, casinos are all designed the same, you walk in and you're lucky if you find the exit. Doesn't deserve the many negative reviews, if you loose money does it really mean it's bad? It could do with refurbishment of course but still, reasonable prices drinks, good service. Quality food (casinos only employee the cream de... More

We had a great evening at the casino. Our daughter had just turned 18, so we got to take her out and show her something new. We had hours of fun on the machines for only $20 and showed her how the gaming tables worked.

I wasn't really impressed with The Reef Casino. It reminded me of an old RSL Club like they have in Sydney. The food wasn't that great. The Xtreme Magic show wasn't very extreme though the Magician had personality plus. The food wasn't very good either.

For Australian visitors, it's little more than an RSL/Pokies Venue with a few tables for roulette, blackjack, etc. Fairly depressing late at night I'd suggest most visitors aren't there for the ambience.

We visited the casino in the day time, so I cannot tell you about the nightlife, clubbing. The casino was not very busy and has your typical slots, etc. the Casino itself is not very large and probably more geared towards those that really like to gamble, for us it was a few minutes of entertainment and an indoor walk.

Very small casino which isn't too welcoming. The service was average and the games available were quite limited. Wouldn't go back to this place.
