Description: Alongside Cairns is a magnificent tidal estuary that is rarely seen...
Alongside Cairns is a magnificent tidal estuary that is rarely seen, except by fishermen. Only accessible by boat, M.V. Crocodile Explorer is a comfortable, air-conditioned vessel taking small numbers of visitors along Trinity Inlet on this scenic nature cruise. With waterways winding through a 300 square kilometre maze of mangroves, expect rich diverse wildlife, stunning scenery and a relaxing cruise with informative commentary from our crew. This is the saltwater crocodile’s natural habitat – with a chance to spot them basking on the muddy banks particularly in the cooler months. Cairns Harbour Cruises depart daily at 11.00am and 1.30pm for a 2 hour cruise. We also offer an evening cruise departing at 5.30pm daily.Picture yourself drinking sparkling wine while watching the tropical sunset from Trinity Inlet. A sunset cruise aboard the MV Crocodile Explorer sets the tone for an unforgettable evening. As our friendly crew greet you on board you will be offered a welcome drink to enjoy on deck prior to departure. The Sunset Cruise allows passengers to soak in beautiful views of the waterways, mangroves and mountains in the magical early evening sun. The 90 minute cruise includes a sparkling wine, standard beer, wine or soft drink and savoury nibbles on arrival.

So good. No rush, no crowd, peaceful, more than what we thought it would have been. Great staff, good food, good instruction and knowledge by staff. Would recommend if you don't want a big crowded day out o reef.

This was the funniest cruise we had been on due to some very funny guests and banter with the Captain. Henry and his fishing expeditions were the highlight. Following the cruise we had at dinner at Dundees great service and very accommodating staff. All in all a great experience.

Did the Evening cruise with drinks and snacks provided. Went up Cairns Harbour and back to the lights of Cairns in the dark. When dropped off at wharf made our way to Dangees Restaurant (very short walk) to an excellent 3 course meal. A must do.

For those who love sunsets and simplicity of nature, this tour is a relaxing way to finish the day! Welcome drinks and nibbles are provided which is a nice touch. A pleasant way to pass an afternoon, a gentle boat trip with afternoon tea of cake and fruit. The hosts were informative and friendly.

We took a cruise to Green Island since we had two small children and it was the only 1/2 day cruise available. I don't recommend visiting Green Island - waste of time, money due to poor snorkeling condition, cloudy and crowded waters and very little sea life.

We went on the sunset cruise the first night of our honeymoon in Cairns and it was lovely! We got our free drink when getting on the boat and had some of the nibblies which were a great accompaniment to the drinks! We sat up top looking out the back of the boat and it was just such a relaxing... More
