I was prepared to deal with this tour mostly for my wife's sake, and so we had something to do while the reef tours were cancelled due to the Cyclone (Nathan) that was coming through. I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed myself, with Warrick's friendly relaxed chatter about a huge variety of topics. I've had time to reflect,... More

Tom, H Thanks for your feedback and comments. We are currently waiting for another plantation to complete major renovations. When that is complete people will have a quite different video, a drive around the farm, a look at the harvester (possibly not during harvest), and a look at some of the other equipment. More

Warick is a very funny guide with great deal of knowledge about the history, social and economic development of the region, and of course of various vegetations in the rain forest and food produces. It was a very interesting mix of rainforest, cheese, chocolate, macadamia, wine and coffee. We did buy quite a lot of cheese and some chocolate and... More

This is a great tour all in all. You get to go out to the less touristy parts of the Wet Tropics up around Cairns, meet the locals and try all kinds of locally produced food and beverages. We got a private tour since no one else had booked it for that day, so we got all the information and... More

Visits to macadamia orchards, cheese producers, and coffee plantations are just part of this tour where you not only see how local farmers work and taste their products; you also get to meet some of the farmers and learn how they have overcome often tough conditions to deliver high quality products. Our informative and passionate guide Warwick not only provided... More

This tour shows you more of the area than any rain forest tour. You meet the locals, see the countryside and the rain forest. This tour is owner operated. He really cares about you and is knowledgable of the places he brings you to. The ride is very comfortable. The vistas are beautiful. And the temps are cooler than in... More

If you only have time to take one tour this is the one to do. This is a owner operator guided tour and we loved it. We visited family farms, a tropical fruit winery, and a local private plantations on the Atherton Tablelands to see how coffee is grown and processed. Also a macadamia nut farm with the farm owner.... More

Just had an enjoyable day on the food trail on the tablelands. It is amazing how little we know about our own back yard. recommend for locals and tourists who want a relaxed, fun day where you might actually learn something new.

Thanks for the review, giving us five stars. Reviews are an opportunity for us to improve our service, which we have now done. We stopped going to NQ Gold Coffee not long after you travelled with us. We now visit Skybury Farmgate, or Jaques Coffee.. After 12 years visiting NQ Gold, it was getting run down, and a recent fire... More

enjoyed all of it, but suggest the final destination (coffee farm) be changed to somewhere else. The cheese and chocolate factory amazing. For a wine lover was surprised to find I enjoyed the fruit wines, passionfruit my favourite

We changed coffee plantations in late 2014. The 88 year old farmer lost his wife and 89 year old farm hand (yes 89) recently, and at 88 the farm had become too much for he and his daughter (60's). Unfortunately just the two of them, and no next generation. More

We did the tour today with Warwick, it was well conducted and a great insight into the history of the area visited. The morning tea and lunch were very enjoyable, and the fact there was only 6 in our party it great getting to know the people we spent the day with. I can thoroughly recommend this tour and urge...
