If you only have time to take one tour this is the one to do. This is a owner operator guided tour and we loved it. We visited family farms, a tropical fruit winery, and a local private plantations on the Atherton Tablelands to see how coffee is grown and processed. Also a macadamia nut farm with the farm owner.... More

Just had an enjoyable day on the food trail on the tablelands. It is amazing how little we know about our own back yard. recommend for locals and tourists who want a relaxed, fun day where you might actually learn something new.

lt was a very enjoyable day and our host very pleasant, the cheese and choclate factory was great as was the macedamia farm, with ample tastes of what was on offer . Lunch and morning tea were excellent, the only down was the coffee farm that has been let go due to the owners being worn out ,not to mention the fact they... More

Thanks for the review, giving us five stars. Reviews are an opportunity for us to improve our service, which we have now done. We stopped going to NQ Gold Coffee not long after you travelled with us. We now visit Skybury Farmgate, or Jaques Coffee.. After 12 years visiting NQ Gold, it was getting run down, and a recent fire... More

enjoyed all of it, but suggest the final destination (coffee farm) be changed to somewhere else. The cheese and chocolate factory amazing. For a wine lover was surprised to find I enjoyed the fruit wines, passionfruit my favourite

We changed coffee plantations in late 2014. The 88 year old farmer lost his wife and 89 year old farm hand (yes 89) recently, and at 88 the farm had become too much for he and his daughter (60's). Unfortunately just the two of them, and no next generation. More

We did the tour today with Warwick, it was well conducted and a great insight into the history of the area visited. The morning tea and lunch were very enjoyable, and the fact there was only 6 in our party it great getting to know the people we spent the day with. I can thoroughly recommend this tour and urge... What a great day this was! Warwick's knowledge of the local area was reflected in his excellent commentary... As he said himself he knows a little about a lot! The small group experience allowed for a personalised service that catered for those with special requirements. The places we visited were well chosen, and although the winery wasn't to my liking... Started well, with the pick up on time, if not early, and then a day not to be missed in the hinterlands of Cairns. The contrast with the coast was evident once we climbed the hills and left the sticky heat behind ... super farmlands, great and knowledgable growers and guide, loved the macadamia nuts (and only wish you could... We thoroughly enjoyed the overall experience, which was enhanced by the company we had on board the bus. There were definite highlights to the day. Lake Barrine was great, the curtain fig tree and Kauri pines, and the macadamia farm was outstanding. The farmers passion, explanations and pride in the presentation of his property was brilliant. We found him most... More

Thanks for your review still giving us four stars. We have taken your comments on board, and stopped going to NQ Gold Coffee around the end of August.
