My wife and I decided to go with Billy Tea Safari's after looking at a few different day tours and then putting our faith in Trip Advisor feedback. It did not disappoint, in fact both we both agree that this was our favourite day of the week whilst in North Queensland. Our host for the day was Finn, he provided... More

Our trip with Billy Tea safaris was awesome and well worth every cent. Matthew, our guide, was very knowledgeable and able to impart his knowledge with humour. It was a well organised day and the exotic fruit tasting was a highlight, as was the swim in the croc free swimming hole. This day was as good or better than visiting... More

Thanks for taking the time to write a review for Billy Tea. We are delighted to hear you had a wonderful day and that your boys found it fun too. Emmagen Creek is one of the locals favourite spots so we are very luck to have permits to visit this pristine swimming spot. We will give Matthew your feedback and... More

I thought about renting a car while we were in the Cairns area but instead chartered a one day tour through Billy Tea. In the end my wife and I felt that we could have probably put the same excursion together on our own but it was entirely more efficient to hire the guide for a day. Mathew, our guide,... More

Thankyou for your lovely review. We will pass on the great feedback to Matthew. His local knowledge and experience is certainly an asset to his easy going personality. Often a lot is achievable by self driving but just as your wife commented. This option doesn't allow you to learn about the area, the history and flora and fauna and is... More

There was a lot to fit in on this trip, the trip down the Daintree on the boat was amazing... Would have loved more time at cape tribulation beach though.. 15 mins didn't for it justice...

Thanks for your review. We are glad you had a great time. Fortunately there is so much to see and do we like to give you a taste of the best of it. There simply just isn't enough time in the day which is unfortunate!! More

Billy Tea picks you up at your hotel/condo and takes care of everything. It was a long day, but, some of the views were spectacular. You could possibly do most of the things on your own, but, they knew where to go. You would definitely need a 4WD vehicle. Great service, and great guide. I'd recommend them for groups that didn't... Hi and thanks for taking the time to write a review. we are glad you enjoyed you day. There are many disadvantages to taking a Self Drive option in this area. Firstly, you would simply not be aware of the significance of some of the areas you were visiting and would be likely to miss many opportunities to spot wildlife... More

Knew it would be a long drive but did expect a few more stops. Neville was friendly but felt he was just going through the motions. Enjoyed the boat trip on the Daintree river with a good informative guide finding saltwater crocs and a tree snake. Whilst lunch was being prepared we feed some rescued Kangaroos which was fun. The... More

Thanks for the review. Neville is great guide and very popular amongst our visitors. I will pass on your feedback. When you say 'double back' I am assuming you are referring to some of the pick up and drop off locations which are off the main highway and are only service by one main road in and one out. There... Joined these guys yesterday for what was the highlight of my trip up here. Traveling on my own this time I was concerned about it being a bigger group but with two buses out there were only ten on mine which made it feel small! Matthew our guide was very knowledgable about the area and I was impressed by the... More

We booked last minute the day before, and to fit us in we were lucky enough to have a private tour in a 4wd rather than the full bus. Our guide Brendan took us to loads of extra places along the trip which was great. It's a nice easy day out, with great views, rainforest walks, and informative facts about... More

I did one of Billy Tea's tours up to Cape Tribulation and the Daintree. It was fantastic, a massive day, lots to see. Our guide was Matthew (and we bumped into the other guide Brendan a few times) both guys were awesome. I learnt so much, we saw many crocs and were lucky enough to see a young Cassowary. It... More

I decided to take 2 of my grandchildren aged 9 on this tour and was glad I did. Hi & thanks for the feedback. Yes Chillagoe is a slightly longer day as there is so many km's to cover. The Cairns outback is very interesting and we hope the commentary in between to visiting attractions kept you highly entertained. The Mareeba wetlands is certainly abundant with bird life and the kids do love it too! More
