Our family went on the same tour as 'Chillagoe not worth money' review 15th April 2015 and had similiar experience. Uncle Nev was fantastic, with excellent knowledge of the area and certainly made you feel like family. However a few changes to how the tour is run would make it more worthwhile and better value for money. Firstly, improve the... More

We did Billy Tea one day tour and had a great time. They know how to take care of you from being picked up at your hotel to outback tea in the pm. You get a river cruise, a rainforest walk, BBQ lunch and much more including feeding kangaroos. Can't say how enjoyable the day was. Must do.

Nevill was a wonderful guide. As a local resident of Mossman AU his entire life, he sure knew the rainforest, plants, animals well.great else of humor. The area is incredible and the variety of stops, experiences top notch.

I would not recommend this tour for the following reasons- 1. Stops were too ruahed. At the first lake stop there were two emus right in the parking lot! This was awesome, but the guide rushed us to the lake boat where we saw no wildlife at all. Then we were rushed back to the car. I couldnt finish my... More

I had one day spare and two sons who don't 'do tours', Uncle Nev was funny, knowledgable and helpful. Sons (aged 27 and 28 admitted it was a good day), We saw it all, rainforest, water holes to swim in, creepy crocs, fab food, torrential rain, swamps and the vehicle (called matilda) gave up the ghost on 3 occasions miles... I'm not generally a big fan of tours, and was in two minds about going with an organised tour rather than driving our hire car to Daintree... in hindsight, we were all very happy with our decision to go with Billy Tea Safaris. The tour covered everything in the brochure, with a very packed (but never rushed) itinerary that would... More

I went to Cape Tribulation & Daintree with Billy teat. Uncle Nev, my guide and driver was incredibly nice and knowledgeable! I learned a lot about local climate, geology and history. The rainforest and beaches were amazing, with quite a lot wild animals like crocodiles. Tea, lunch & tropic fruits served were tasty. All the passengers were friendly and good... More

We did the Cape Tribulation Tour. Our guide, Neville (or Uncle Nev!), was super sweet, and incredibly informative. We got lots of history about Captain Cook, and great information about the rainforest. We also got to stop to buy mangosteens and incredibly great ice-cream made from the local fruits -- both very cool stops. We don't normally do tours, but... More

I jumped aboard the Billy Tea Safari truck yesterday morning with a little trepidation. Could this day trip live up to the brochure, I asked myself? Cathy our guide was excellent throughout. She welcomed us aboard and gave us an excellent running commentary the entire time. Her knowledge and love for the area was evident at all times. My six... More

This safari took us in a tour van over a river on a car ferry back in time to trees that have not changed over thousands of years. Fruit actually growing on the tree trunks ! The Billy Tea is made by the tour guide in the special fashion right there on the edge of a stream where we also... More
