This is operated by Great Adventures and served similar snacks and lunch (less variety) as that tour. Lycra suits were provided on this tour and recommended during stinger season. We didn't see any stingers but felt better having that suits on. This tour takes you to 3 outer reef sites (a bit further out from Moore reef). We saw tons... More

There was much research in picking this dive/snorkel boat and it paid off. It is very fast so you get more time out on the reef. The three dive sites are excellent and the boat is the dive shop so you show up in the morning and they have everything you need. You get fitted on the way out to... More

Here's what made this reef experience the best: 1) excellent boat, very stable and very fast, no-one sick 2) only 80 passengers maximum, including divers and snorkelers (it's good to keep the numbers low with all that equipment) 3) because the boat is so fast, there's lots of time for snorkelling before lunch 4) everything included, including lycra suit 5)... I booked a day trip with Silverswift and was extremely satisfied with the experience. The boat is very well run. The crew are friendly, organized and efficient. A lot of folks do get seasick on the ride out but the staff were very sympathetic and as helpful as possible. I snorkeled first, then did an intro dive and enjoyed it... More

We had such a wonderful time on the silver swift and our dive instructor Charles was great. I haven't dived for 20 years and I had my 13 year old son with me, for him it was his first dive. If you are an experienced diver, I assume the silver swift isn't the best boat, but if you are an... More

I was living in Cairns for a few years and was lucky enough to try majority of the reef cruises, Silver Swift was defiantly the best! Professional informative staff, fast comfortable boat & a yummy lunch buffet! Not to mention the 3 spectacular dive & snorkel sites visited throughout the day. Overall a great day to the reef!

My husband and I went on a day diving trip on the silverswift boat last week. This was the largest dive boat we had been on, having typically only been on ~8 person boats. The downside of the silverswift boat being so large is that there are so many people in the water. I think that the 60+ people scared... More

I did my first and second ever dives with these guys. The boat was big and nice and arrived very fast to the reef. Once in the water with dive gear on I was very nervous but the instructor Pedro was very very good and calmed me down almost instantly. The two dives were amazing, saw some brilliant fish, coral... My buddy and I visitors Cairns for the sole purpose of seeing the Great Barrier Reef... Unfortunately we did not book a tour in advance. By luck, we were able to get in with Swilverswift. This was a very well run snorkeling tour. We left around 8:30 am, went to 3 spots out in the reef, and got some serious... More

Had an expensive day on Silverswift - $202 for snorkelling, the boat day and lunch PLUS $65 for 2 dives with gear hire. It's a big nice boat but goes at quite a speed and many people were seasick. Meaning we did 2 dive sites, rather than the normal 3 sites, to save more seasickness. Even I was queasy and... More
