We had a great experience with Silverswift. Both my boyfriend and I did the snorkeling and absolutely loved it. We chose not to use the stinger suits (wouldn't recommend unless it was jellyfish season) and were fine. The trip was definitely worth the extra money to go out to more remote parts of the reef -- everything was pristine and... More

2 of us dived, 1 snorkelled. Great fun diving, great boat, great lunch. Not much info on the reef available on the day. Felt a bit like being herded around. Snorkellers had to pay unexpected fees for stinger suits. Unexpected charges for the reef not quoted on website. More

Getting to dive at the Great Barrier Reef would have made my day regardless of other factors - but the boat, crew and service made my day that much more enjoyable. The crew was fantastic. I had Jun as a dive instructor for my Intro Dive (which is a dive without a certificate - HIGHLY recommended!) He was so funny,... More

I took the Silverswift out of Cairns in the second week of April. the boat was busy but well organised and the staff seemed to be very knowledgable and approachable. I did one dive and two snorkelling sites. All three sites are clearly visited a lot by many tour operators and I felt that the coral was quite damaged. However,... More

Silverswift took us to 3 reefs on the Great Barrier Reef. They were interesting. Unfortunately, they charge extra for the wetsuits. When you go in this time of year, you need them to avoid poisonous jellyfish stings. The suits should be part of the cost of the trip. Also, they charge extra for soft drinks. The food was pretty good.... More

VERY professional staff...and lots of them. Staff was very knowledgeable. Boat was quite comfortable-not swarming with people where you felt like a nobody. We didn't eat any of the food, but the food looked great and was plentiful. The main staff person was named Mex. I have snorkelled in MANY places around the world. Without a doubt he was most... I have been waiting to visit the Great Barrier Reef for 25 years, so it would've been difficult to meet my expectations. With that out in the open, my day trip with Silverswift was as good as it could be, after I got seasick on the way out to the first dive site. I was doing quite well in the... More

I recently did a day tour with Diving Cairn and took the Silverswift out to Flynn Reef. The crew were absolutely amazing and extremely helpful. Overall the service was great. I did two certified dives and one snorkel. The dive guide Mex, was fantastic. He gave us a very thorough briefing before and after the dives and was helpful through... More

the experience was fantastic! what i didnt expect was to be sea sick! pretty much 90% of the people were sea sick, and i never have been. thankfully you can buy sea sick tablets on board, but i suggested having them before you leave. Took a good hour and half to get to the reef, the scenery is amazing. The... More

This was the 8th trip i have had out to the reef Lovely fast comfortable boat, Nice sundecks. Good platform to get in and out of water easily Good sites ,lots of turtles about Felt that the trip is more suited to Divers than snorkellers. Wouldn't be a good trip for a first time snorkeller. No assistance with equipment or... More
