Because other tours were canceled due to bad weather caused by nearby cyclone Nathan we spent a lovely day in 4WD Toyota with our guide Kevin. From first to the last minute he amused us with funny stories somehow connected with our trip, history, landscape, animals, people,... Cathedral fig tree, walk through the rainy rainforest, Kuranda with waterfall, ... picturesque... More

This is a great tour if you want to have a one-day impression of Queensland, Australian lifestyle and nature. I would call it more of a scenic cruise (you spend most of the day in the car) than a Eco Tour, but because of the variety and Kev's great insight into the local life time passes in a breeze. You... My friend and I spent a whole day exploring the wilderness of the Tablelands with Kevin and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We learnt lots and the day was nicely paced too... including treats like an ice cream parlour with the most fabulous and unusual flavours, a scrumptious and healthy picnic by a forest stream, fig trees that are hundreds (if... We had a great day out with Kevin. He is a fun, friendly and very well informed driver and guide - a huge character who made the day truly enjoyable. After seeing the suburban wallabies near Cairns, it was off up to the Tablelands to lovely Lake Barrine where we had tea and a short walk - we were lucky... More

Picked Kevin from Tripadvisor. Knows his stuff and gives you a constant narration about the rainforest and local area and very entertaining guy. Meals were simple but good picnics. When Kevin said "I had to clear that tree out of the way last month" we thought yeah, right. Until near the end of our tour and high on a mountainside... More

Great things about this tour were Kevin the owner/guide and the small group. Fun hanging out with a comical Aussie and hearing his stories. Truck is very spacious and comfortable. Not so great, didn't seem like you see much. Starts with Rainforest which is cool for a bit. But after that it's just kind of countryside unless you're into the... More

We had a week in Cairns and wanted to see the GBR, the rainforest, and the tablelands. This trip with Kevin and Wilderness Eco Safaris through the rainforest and tablelands was also recommended by our Quantas vacation specialist. We booked online and received prompt and personal contact information from Kevin. We were picked up at our lodging (he was 5... More

Kev the tour guide is very knowledgeable and very humorous, a real bush man. His wife made us a delicious lunch which was enjoyed by the river. The sights were amazing, and the tour was private (just the two of us). An incredible day!

Living in Australia I wanted something less crowded and travelled by.This tour was just that! Our guide Kevin was incredibly knowledgeable about the rainforest ecology and humorous . I had the opportunity to see a variety of wildlife such as snake, possum, water dragons and countless bird life to name a few. We even rescued a possum! Lunch was splendid, situated... More

For our Rainforest adventure trip we chose Kevin and his Wilderness Eco Safari and it was the best choice ever. Kevin, the owner who runs the business alone, is an expert of flora and fauna of the Rainforest. He picked us up from our hotel and drove us on remote streets through the Rainforest until we reached Mareeba were we... More
