where to start ,took a day trip with my youngest daughter and her friend. Now i have traveled to the reef many many times with probably most of the tour boats and i must say this was the worst, the crew seamed to take priority over the guests especially at lunch time, take 1dinner roll and 1 slice of each meat of which... I went for a 1 night stayover scubadiving trip + advanced course. Had an amazing experience. The OceanQuest boat where I stayed overnight has a lot of space. They serve very good food and the dive spots are great. Could see all kinds of fish, sharks, rays... Special thanks to divemaster Fabio. It makes much easier for a brazilian like... More

We had to learn all of the theory for our course on the first day as there was a mix up with another group, so the first day we felt very mentally drained like we had just been at school again despite our teacher making the course as fun as possible. However we were glad this happened as the next... More

I don't understand all the hateful reviews. Everything was really well organised, minute after minute. Everyone knew what to do. There was enough food for everyone (yes, they tell you to take human portions at the FIRST ROUND to make sure everyone has something to eat and then there is second round when you can get stuffed as much as... We took the SeaQuest out on the 14th of January. It was a bit over crowded and somewhat chaotic on this day trip boat. Once we arrived on OceanQuest, things slowed down a bit and the boat was only half full for the remainder of our four day stay on this live aboard. On both vessels, the staff was very... More

We booked to stay 4 nights and 3 days aboard the Live aboard "Ocean Crest" - the day trip to the boat was far too overcrowded and everybody was seasick. The boat just goes to the live aboard and this means that the dive sites used a the same every day. The dive staff are quite informative and try their... More

I went on a liveaboard for 1 night with Divers Den out of Cairns in December 2015. DD were a very professional outfit, well-organised, with an excellent safety focus and superb crew (Serrio, Sylvester, May and Alice spring to mind among many). Did 7 dives on Norman and Hastings reefs, 15-20m vis, plenty of colourful critters, big and small, and... More

The most important part - I had wonderful time! The details? The customer service was one of the best of any other day trip dive/snorkel I've been on, with a staff that wasn't only professional, but a fun bunch to associate with. Knowledgeable about everything on the reef, they helped me see and notice things I most likely would not... More

The people were friendly, however, you were like sheep being herded through! It was 24 knots and the majority of the people were sick on the boat - should we have gone out in these conditions?? People snorkelling were basically left to their own device as it was more catered for the divers. But even then some people had a... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your recent experience on Deep Sea Divers Den’s day vessel Sea Quest. The weather and sea sickness is an occurrence and unfortunately beyond our control, although we do have seasickness preventative medication on board that we recommend in choppy weather. Deep Sea Divers Den does have access to 17... More
