This comment is only for the Discover Scuba Diving experience! By the time I did the Discover Scuba Diving with them I was not a Open Water Certified diver but I had done few times before so I am able to compare them. I have to say that the experience could not be worst. You are in the water around... More

This is the most famous dive centre in Cairns to visit the Great Barrier Reef. They have an amazing organization for the great amount of divers and snorkelers that they receive every day, in several boats, for day tours or short live-a-board trips. Their tours are too packed, there is way too many people, but I must confess that I... More

Other reviews are correct. The first two dives are hectic on a very crowded boat. Staff handled the crowded boat very well. Just think of the first two dives as getting back in the groove of diving. Transfer from shop to boat was easy and quick in both directions. Ocean Quest live aboard was so nice to transfer to. :-)... More

The initial boat - Sea Quest is used for all the day trip divers/snorkelers as well as for transferring you to the liveaboard ship in the afternoon. As far as first impressions it wasn't great as It was really crowded and there wasn't much room for your bags. It felt a bit chaotic signing in on the boat and then... More

What an amazing experience, I'm backpacking in Australia at the moment and decided on a stop in Cairns to pass my Open water diver certificate. I had never been diving ever before. What I received at Deep Sea Divers Den is a great service, from Sabina on the phone who quickly pointed me in the direction of different camping sites... More

I really wanted to do my PADI open water course on the Great Barrier Reef. The experience was worth every single penny (especially as a backpacker you dont have much to spare) My dive instructor Shane Harris was a good, patient and laidback instructor. He takes the time for you. I would highly recommend to do it for more days.... More

This trip is very impressive. Crews are so kind and patient. Jim is a man which is very professional about diving. To be honest, I am not that confident of this activity, due to his lovely teaching, I decided to have a try. So, amazing things happened. If you were in Cairns, this activity you can never miss. Highly recommend.... More

My wife and I took the day off to try this operator and see if it was worth recommending. After our experience I would definitely not recommend it to anyone that wanted to see the great barrier reef, there are much better operators available. Here's the summary of why I gave 2 stars: 1 Most irritating was the fact that... More

The staff on the boats were very helpful and pleasant. The set up for gearing up and refilling tanks was very well organised. The safety on board was also the best I had seen - being checked off the boat for air, and signing yourself back in upon return. Gear included a computer which the boat staff checked after each... Went on a single day trip in August. I would recommend to take the option of only doing two dives in a day as their three day option means that you only have about 15 minutes between dives which isn't the safest. Felt like safety wasn't their main concern.
