The ship is brand new, and the staff was helpful. Regular meal, regular diving gear. Actually, we were disappointed by the reef itself. Although they brough us to more private spots (far from the crowds of some islands and plattforms), we found the reefs not as impressive as we expected. We saw much livilier reefs in many other world places.... More

We took the SeaQuest for a two snorkel trip. Three in our group snorkeled once and dove twice (at the same location). The rest of use just snorkeled. We enjoyed our day immensely but we were focused on the opportunity to experience the reef. If we did not go out the following day, from another town, with another company, our... More

I did a day trip, and it's a long way from Cairns to the Barrier Reef. It's a bit dizzy the trip, even when the sea was calm. That boat is more prepared for diving than for snorkelling (I did snorkelling). They said that you will snorkel at two different reef locations, but both are really close (you can see... More

Had the best experience ever yesterday (Sunday 31st Jan 16) still lost for words on how amazing yesterday's adventure was with the Den crew, greated with a big Aussie hello from the skipper, can't remember his name but he was an absolute gentleman. Left early & as we made our way to the reef we were all given an induction... More

I initially embarked their vessel intending to do my PADI open water certificate. I loved the atmosphere and the experience so much that I extended my stay on their luxurious day boat by another night and did my advanced open water certificate, most recommendable adventure! Their staff was very complaisant, best food prepared on board, lots of dives including morning... More

We had a great time with the Taka staff for their excellent food always ready on time for us hungry divers. They were very helpful with the equipment. We had a cabin with the bathroom inside that we highly recommend for privacy since many had to share the bathroom. Unfortunately due to the constant humidity the cabin smelled a little... More

I had a lovely time on Taka. We went up the Ribbon Reefs to Cod Hole with many sites in between. Best dive was at night at Challenger Bay when we went hunting with sharks, trevally & morays. The divemasters & instructors were super friendly and knowledgeable about the local sites & marine life. The trip was well-run and I... More

We booked 2 night/3 day trip we booked with Deep Sea Divers’ Den. We booked our excursion in November after having read about the snorkeling trips the company organises. We chose the Deep Sea Divers’ Den as the company specifically states on its website that it caters for snorkeling with guided tours and offers overnight accommodation aboard a “luxurious vessel…...
