Fun

It was neat going on the old ship. Partly outside so go in good weather. Pricing was okay too. There was a lighthouse exhibit on too

I had a day in brisbane and being from a seaside town wanted to see how other places did maritime. All the ships were in immaculate condition and the audio tour was perfect to slowly meander round the ships for the day. Apart from one of the decks being closed on the hmas ship for winter maintainance this did not... More

If you are a history buff in the least, this is the place for you. The grounds could use some cleaning but it isn't something that will detract from your visit. Wear clothes that you feel comfortable climbing in and out of tight places in. Lots of things to get in (e.g. anti aircraft positions, sleeping quarters) and restrictive clothing... More

I guess the thing that really attracted me to this place was the destroyer sitting in the old dry dock. I remember seeing it when I was in Brisbane a while ago and thinking that I really had to check it out. Anyway, I did and I must say it was really cool. In fact you can explore the entire... More

If your into martime or history take a look You can visit the old battleship Dimontina without a guide and can operate or move some of the guns if your fit enough Many other boats on display like Elle's Pink Lady. We had fun 😀

HMAS Diamantina is a well-presented time-capsule of Australia's WW2 Navy, thanks to the efforts of the many museum volunteers who have restored her back to something close to her original state. I took my kids to see Diamantina and we all found it interesting, but for different reasons. I was able to appreciate the practicalities of how a WW2 Naval... More

Highly recommend! Its a great day out with plenty to see and do and ships/boats to go on. The guys really know their stuff and are great to talk to. Its a great day out you do not want to miss when visiting Brisbane if you're into ships, boats and anything to do with sea going vessels.

Very good, well worth the entry fee, Being an ex RNZN sailor, I enjoyed the displays especially the walk through on the actual Ship in the Dry Dock. Very good liaison guide as we entered.

Visited this attraction on Thursday 7th May 2015. The museum houses Ella’s Pink Lady in which Jessica Watson circumnavigated the world when she was 16 years old. We explored the A61 (aka Penguin) which was a pearl divers’ boat that operated in the Torres Straits. We climbed down the steps of the dry dock to see the hull of the... More
