MODERN

I like the modern attitude towards this library .. not the old "shh" way it used to be in the old days. This place encourages fun

More like a high-tech community center, the State Library is a good place to drop-in, connect to the free wi-fi and plan your next move.

Loads of things to see and do including exhibitions and library shop and cafe. Many levels of different spaces including info lounge with newspapers and magazines. Also many computers with free internet and comfy sofas to relax on. Free recharge station for mobile devices too. Something for everyone with study and reference space too.

So many levels containing a wide variety of spaces for study and reference. I was very impressed with the artistic interior design and art displays as well as the practical functionality. Love that it is such a large scale building for public use.

This exhibition is wonderful, having been put together with great care and skill. Highly recommended if you're interested in finding out about the experience of being caught up in this dreadful war.

The State Library is not only a beautiful building outside to look at but also inside. Located by the Brisbane River next to the Gallery of Modern Art and the Fine Arts Museum. The library is popular with locals, students and tourists, with free access to the internet, computers, resource material, daily newspapers. On the afternoon of my visit I... More
