Good size state library. It often also has really interesting exhibits to do with writing or books so watch out for those,

Free internet access, friendly staff, numerous places to sit down and a wonderful view make this a great library. Also easily accessible from the citycat and cultural center bus station.

This is such a great space! There is a wonderful cafe with yummy food and coffee. The internet works everywhere in the building and can even be accessed from outside in the covered knowledge walk when the library is closed. The information centre is a stunning space with white leather sofas and seats. You can even take food and drink... More

My three children and I visited during the school holidays and I had no idea what it was like inside. There were so many activities for the kids to do. We spent nearly two hours in there and they all had a blast. It even had free wifi, awesome morning.

Great facilities, world class. A great place to explore and indulge the literary senses. Free internet a bonus, something for everyone. Location perfect to allow further exploration of everything that is South Bank, great transport options, etc. Brisbane should be proud of this great space.

We visit Brisbane during the summer time. It is very warm outside. We was so exhausting walking along the south bank. This place is very perfect, there is meeting place, where we can take a rest. Big library with so many books, magazines, etc. Staffs are really friendly.

Honestly, we intended to visit the State Library of Queensland for its free wifi services which are difficult to find elsewhere in Brisbane. However, to our surprise this Library proved to be one of the highlights of our 2 day visit.... It provides an amazing exhibition of Aboriginal stories and history through animation, a hands-on butterfly art project, and various... More

Our kids love the library and this one especially. There's always some kind of kid activity going on here. Worth a look even if your not a library goer.

A fantastic facility available to the public (free entry of course) with access to a broad array of study material, written literature, internet access, desks, seminar rooms, etc. A walk around the library takes approximately half hour without doing any reading. If you have any keen interests, I recommend taking a trip to the library to see what you can... More

I love visiting the SLQ and can't believe how lucky we are to have such a top class facility. There is something for everyone...workshops, research, seminars, access to computers, reading, relaxing and much more. Bring my grandchildren frequently to The Corner, holiday activities and children's entertainment. They are so comfortable visiting the SLQ I hope this will continue into adulthood.... More
