Great service from the staff located throughout. The Auditorium is utterly beautiful and the ride in the 90 year old lift to the Tower is well worth the effort. Make sure you get there early to get one of the limited places. All of this is free of charge.

Okay, this isn't actually a lending library (that one is across the river) but rather this is a suppository of all of the works ever published in Queensland. You do have to check in your bags if you wish to go to that part of the library, however the other part, the resource centre (the part that I actually checked... More

If you need a place to recharge, yourself or your phone/electronics, the main section of the library has more power points than books. Plenty of desk area and couches at which to sit at, although this area can get quite loud because it also has a kids activity area. If you don't like loud talking and the occasional scream/yell then... More

A real readers heaven. Had a great range of titles, including History, Kids books, and general titles. Staff were very helpful, with a willingness to share their knowledge with you and point you in the right direction if you were not sure what you required. Regular displays and promotions were evident.

I have been researching the family tree and went to the State Library with my sister to research and have a general look around. The staff were the most helpful I have encountered and the Library huge. Great coffee shop to refresh too! then back to the books. Go to the State library, its magnificent. Does Brisbane proud. You will... More

Easily accessibly by car or public transport but car park does fill early during peak periods. Lots of hands on activiites for the young ones and pretty good fun for the parents too. One can stay with the kids while the other checks out the latest exhibition - some excellent free stuff and some you pay for.Fantastic shop with great... More
