Really enjoy spending time at the State Library as staff are very helpful. Very easy to locate what you want but you will be in competition with a lot of uni students. When there is a heat wave the crowd increases.

Very moved seeing the Nikon Walkley awards exhibition (press photos of the year). Australia is blessed with some superb photographers. The Library is a treasure trove worth visiting many times. Have a bite at the cafe. Just sit outside and enjoy the free wi-fi. Wonderful place

Many different places to sit and work. Wifi is good and stabil and the staff is friendly. There's a kids area in the corner that works really well, and only disturbs other guests a little, but you can just sit further away from there. Café is good with nice coffee. Food is really expensive (in sense of what you get... More

I dropped in at the library between the museum and GOMA, and it is a very interesting place. There was an ANZAC exhibition on detailing the life of soldiers during WWI which was fascinating.

Amazing technologies is what you will find in this amazing library. Holding thousands and thousands of books, either in electronic version of hard copies. Staff are friendly, seats are comfortable. Best of all. a great place to bring your kids along and let them blend in this environment and pick up some good study habits.

Visited the state library with an old school friend to observe some of the architectural work. Amazed how the state library attracts a lot of interests from all walks of life! It's a must see visit!

The library cannot be rushed through. It has something for everyone. Spend some time in the rare books section, also enjoy the views over the river and back into the city. Special events are a big drawcard for the library especially when some of the rare books go on public display.

Who would've thought a library can be such a cool place to hang out in! You will sure enjoy this place not just to read books but just to relax or have a meeting for work or study.
