If you're a sport freak like me, you'll like The Gabba. Great facilities, only downside is no train line...and you have to watch cricket or AFL!

This is a good stadium for AFL although it is a little bit of a concrete jungle that can feel a little claustrophobic when getting food or drinks. When it is full the atmosphere is good though.

Feel like you're right on the ground - seating and stadium very user-friendly and a great atmosphere! Reminds me of Spotless and Metricon and love the family kick-to-kick and American style enthusiasm for the home-team via the scoreboard. Go watch a game sometime :)

We visited The Gabba in November 2013 for the first Ashes Test. Compared to Test Match grounds in the UK, The Gabba was a pleasant surprise. Easy to reach via the FREE public transport from the City Centre (UK test grounds, take note!), a 10 minute bus ride drops you right outside the gates. We were sitting with the Barmy... More

Home to the Brisbane Lions this ground is a cauldron type and steep. Nose bleed seats are a long way from the action. Its modern and facilities good. Smoke only zones miles away for smokers and very strict scrutiny getting in on game days. Cannot take your own food or drink which sucks.

Watched an Aussie Rules game here. Nice clean venue. Great seating side and sheltered areas higher up. Lots of toilets and food outlets. Easy transport straight into a close bus stop. Shops and food outlets across the road and helpful police to get you safely across the road on game day. Only negative is some of the food outlets don't... More

The Gabba is one of the best venues to watch Football and Cricket. You have a fabulous view of the field no matter where you sit. Easy to access from the city, good public transport.

I now know where the Stanley Street and Vulture Street ends exist for those mad Aussie Cricket followers. Watched Brisbane v Richmond in an AFL fixture - game wasn't that high class but what was - The Stadium - excellent viewing - seats with plenty of room - great atmosphere - very easy to exit and enter - access to... Went with family to a Big Bash game and couldn't believe the show you get on top of the cricket! Rocket man, a hover craft, the music! I'm not a massive cricket fan but really enjoyed the evening.

We thoroughly enjoyed watching the One Day Cricket Match on Friday 17th January, 2014. There is no better place to watch a game of cricket than at the Gabba in the Member's Stand. The biggest let-down though was the appalling service and lack of logistical back-up by the caterers - O'Briens. I went to the bar to order some drinks... More
