Toohey Forest is a wonderful huge green space only 8km from the CBD. It has some very well maintained sealed tracks that can be used for walking, running or riding. There is great array of native fauna and flora including masses of grass trees that adorn the forest. The paths are quite moderate in their slopes and can be used... More

As a Brisbane resident I'm not far away from many beautiful places but for easy access to bush walking, trail running or mountain biking Toohey Forest is my go to place. It is right in the heart of the city and when you're here you can't hear or see a car but you will see wildlife, friendly faces, a variety... More

For a relatively small area in the middle of suburbia there is quite a large network of trails. It has no real environmental significance as it is too small to hold mammalian populations. I regularly ride my mountain bike there with friends. And i know there are a lot more mtb riders in there too. They are great little tracks,... More

I walk in Toohey Forest at least 3 times per week ....good for local residents for exercise purposes ...there are not many places where you can see the surrounding suburbs ...only at Pegs lookout in which the Sothern and western parts of Brisbane may be viewed...Griffith University owns a large section of this park and anybody is able to access... Toohey Forest is a fantastic place to go for a walk, picnic, bicycle or scooter ride. Much of the forest is contained within Griffith University and the GU website and a visit to the EcoCenter at Griffith University's Nathan Campus is very handy. Group bushwalking in the Toohey Forest is a great experience and you can climb Mt Gravatt and... More

There were a few places to sit. I took some photos. What I remember most was a lack of wildlife. There was one nice circular area in the middle which had potential.

I used the tracks around the forest and lookout for training, it is so peaceful and at time demanding, walk from Logan Road up to the top using the tracks not the road, you can reward yourself at the cafe at the lookout. Beautiful.

Lovely to drive through, as it always seems cool, because of the large trees. Not many stopping places though.

Great tracks for walking and jogging, with some nice picnic spots. Nice surface. Unfortunately, no great views along the way. Just a few nice bush vistas here and there.
