Offers a very good view of the Brisbane River and CBD as well as neighbourhoods such as New Farm and Kangaroo Point. If you cross the bridge from Fortitude Valley, you reach the Kangaroo Point cliffs in no time, from which you have access to even more stunning views on Kangaroo Point, South Bank and further. The bridge is accessible... More

I see a bunch of the reviews here beaming with positivity and talking great about the bridge, but to me it was really just another bridge. Maybe I've been fortunate to have climbed Sydney Harbour Bridge and seen other amazing bridges of the world? The best part of the Story Bridge is the lights at night - definitely worth a... More

It's the main bridge in Brisbane, but I wouldn't go as far as saying it's an amazing tourist icon in the city. Not meant to be a harsh review at all, but if you're expecting Sydney Harbour, Golden Gate, Brooklyn etc, you're going to be disappointed. Still some really nice spots around it to 'admire' the structure, but not a... More

Walking around the outskirts of the CBD from Fortitude Valley, the cliffs at Kangaroo Point, to West End and finally back through the Parklands, the Story Bridge was the highlight. Taking photographs from it was fabulous, and the boats passing underneath from so high up gave a whole different perspective. It also gives great river views of Eagle St Pier... More

One of the oldest bridge and one is able to climb to the summit for a fee to view the city and the Bribane River. Bridge design is awesome ! Great to experience the height and the vehicles zooming below.

We had a lovely view of the Bridge from our hotel room. We also took a little river cruise at night and the Bridge is quite lovely! At night, it's the best because the Bridge is all lit up and the lights continue to change colors. I do recommend checking it out at night.

This bridge is very ordinary during the day and looks like any other metal bridge but come evening the bridge is lit up and changes into a magical bridge with ever changing colour combinations.

A lovely walk across the bridge and one can see the riverside cafes and walks. It is also possible to climb the bridge, which I have not done as I ado not like heights, but many people have done this exercise,

The Story Bridge is symbolicly Brisbane. This metal bridge has been used since 1939. A heritage-listed steel cantilever bridge it binds the banks of the Brisbane river in the area of Kangaroo Point and Fortitude Valley. You can climb it with supervision, but I just like watching it from the walks and gardens around. It has a presence and a... More

We love Story Bridge. it looks lovely by day & even more magnificent by night with its changing colours. We were fortunate to see it during River Fire in September too & the fireworks were very impressive!!!
