Description: Museum of Brisbane is located on Level 3 of the newly restored Brisbane...
Museum of Brisbane is located on Level 3 of the newly restored Brisbane City Hall. Our story is Brisbane's story - the lives of those who lived here, the events that have shaped our history and the places that we hold dear. As a museum dedicated to the city, we celebrate the people, places and stories of Brisbane. Museum of Brisbane presents these stories through an innovative mix of social history and visual arts. Every exhibition is an opportunity to discover more about ourselves and our city. Our carefully curated events, workshops and tours are designed to help you delve even deeper. We are a space where stories unfold - a place for meaningful dialogue; enjoyable, entertaining experiences; and a place to explore and share in the identity of Brisbane. While the Museum's story is only 10 years old, we are the narrators of a story far older: Brisbane's story.

It felt more like an art exhibit than a museum. Small but well laid out, have to go up the clock tower the views are great. Gift shop is nice

I LOVE MUSEUMS!!!!! All kinds, shapes and sizes. We visited on Monday as soon as they opened and, thankfully, before the bus load of elementary kids showed up. Beautiful facility. Very modern and artsy. We mainly came for the Dino Exhibit since my 4 yr old twins have recently discovered Dinosaur Train on PBS they speak of nothing much else.... More

Great collection of early Brisbane photographs, would suit mainly early Brisbane history buffs. Young children would find it a bit boring. There are tours and it is free.

A variety of exhibits set out in clear to see and informative manner, suitable for all age groups. Cafe however was expensive and so was the science museum but very interactive for kids.

Very interesting museum, especially as I've lived in Brisbane for so long. I enjoyed the trip up to the bell tower too!

The Museum of Brisbane, located in the Brisbane City Hall, regularly displays exhibits highlighting Brisbanes history, as well as others of general interest. The recent display of costumes from Hollywood movies, owned by a local collector was very popular. Entry to the museum is FREE and it is somewhere to revisit periodically as the exhibits change over time.

Kids will love this as any other museums and it is free. Just a walking distance from the City centre.

When in Brisbane it's usually worth visiting the Museum in City Hall. And if you have not yet done so book a tour of the building itself - fascinating history. The Museum has a long running exhibition about Brisbane River and currently two temporary exhibits. One is of historic photos of Brisbane and the other is artwork by William Bustard.... More

I hadn't been in years, so went to check out the new Dinosaur exhibit. It was fantastic. I can imagine it would be quite amazing for a child, however 4 adults found it just as exciting and interesting.

Thanks for writing a review. I think however you have us confused with our friends on the other side of the river. We are found in the heart of the city and our exhibits celebrate the people, the places and stories of Brisbane (no dinosaurs!). More
