Just 10km (approx) from Brisbane CBD, this is a great little place that has some local fauna on display. There is very reasonable surcharge for entry, and we had no problem pushing a pram around the centre and animal display. The animal display itself isn't massive; looking at all the animals you could do it in about 30mins. Though the... More

There isn't much here - the wildlife part is small and looks a little tired in places. There are some fantastic animals - the Quoll for instance - and the big selling point is the Platypus, which is what we came here for. However I do feel that some of the animals, though well looked after, could do with some... More

The wildlife centre is great for young kids. Nice trails to go for a run as well. Cafe opening hours aren't great so check those before attending.

This place abounds with wildlife, so its a great place to walk around with the family. The tracks through the forest are safe and you can take as much time as you like, to appreciate the bush and any animals or birds you spot along the way.

The locals know this area, but if you are a visitor you might miss it! If you want to have a taste of the Australian bush, this is a way to do it. It is a lovely bushland area, a favourite for drives, weddings, bushwalkers and picnics. A car is the best way to get there.

Wonderful place to visit to get away from the hustle and bustle. It feels like you're a million miles away from the city, but it's only about 25-30 minutes drive. And it's not too touristy. There are lovely, gentle bush walks around the lake and you can see native animals without paying an exorbitant entry fee.

This is the place we always take overseas visitors. The visitors centre is modest but informative and the staff are always very helpful. The animals in the wildlife centre include a platypus, a quoll, several pademelons, a wombat, reptile and bird species and some grey kangaroos outside. There aren't that many places to see platypuses (the David Fleahy wildlife centre... More

Wonderful way to while away half a day with young children (8&9yo). Fantastic 5k FREE bush walk with some nice water views so close to the city! Reservoir can be canoed upon and swum in although wet suits were clothing choice for today's warm winter morning! Super opportunity for young children to see some kangaroos, snakes, resident wombat and platypus... More

A lovely sunny 22c winter day in Brisbane. We decided on an active day and the kids put on their runners. It was great to get the kids away from the electronics!! We packed sandwiches, fruit, a few chocolate biscuits for a treat, some cracker biscuits and water bottles filled of course. The national park was easy to find 20... More

Whilst the surroundings are picaresque the visitor centre and function area are quite dated. Looking forward to the redevelopment, which I have seen plans for.
