I came upon this place by accident and was very pleasantly surprised. A beautiful garden right behind the Roma Street Station. The garden is very well maintained and set out. Annuals were in full bloom. There is also a lake, fountain and waterfall. I wish I had had more time to take a guided walk or the little train that... More

The Roma Street Parkland is just a great place for a walk or for relaxing. Close to the centre or Brisbane, it is a fabulous place for a stroll.

Striking colourful display gardens and lakes and beautiful tropical oasis in the heart of the busy city. The restaurant was fabulous. Pity the tourist train wasn't running.

This park can be reached by foot from the main tourist areas of downtown. It is glorious! It is large and has lots of areas to walk and see.

Open area, plus shade of trees while watching our own and other activities. Like the playground up at the top and hide and seek with the grandchildren through the pathways.

Came across the park whilst out strolling around the area. Great place to stop and watch the world go by. The planted gardens are stunning and the waking paths that take you through a variety of levels in the park allow you to see the gardens from some unique perspectives. Loved this place. Very peaceful.

Roma Street Parklands consists of some 16 ha of beautiful gardens located above Roma St train station, largely on the slopes of nearby Spring Hill, which is yet another interesting part of Brisbane. The gardens have a fairly short history and are located on redundant industrial land, mainly railway yards. The designers and horticulturists have done a fantastic job in... More

Finding Roma Street Parklands was a delight. It is beautifully maintained with interesting plants which are well displayed. The open spaces with mature trees and borders offer visitors somewhere quiet to rest whilst the more formal gardens provide a riot of colour, texture and shape. I wil go several more times before I leave Brisbane.

The parklands are definitely worth a visit, it doesn't feel like you're in the middle of the city with all the beautiful plants and flowers around you. Also keep an eye out in the water as we saw several water dragons! A great free day out.
