Rising from the ashes, grease and days of the steam era of Roma Street railway yards, Roma Street parkland is a welcome breath of fresh air for the Brisbane city heart. It's quiet, convenient and is always changing. Of particular note is the spectacle garden, open only between certain hours, and the rainforest canopy walk to the north west of... More

We spent the day in Roma Street Parkland's; Picnicking and relaxing in the wonderful surroundings that are just a stones throw away from the train station.

This is a wonderful park situated right behind Roma Street station. It has an interesting Rainforest garden reminding you that we still have some Rainforests in Queensland. The delight though is the Colin Campbell garden inside the park giving us all a fantastic example of the plants and flowers unique to our corner of the world and strongly hinting they... More

Located just behind Roma station, this is a lovely park, with beautiful gardens and lakes. On a Saturday afternoon the locals were enjoying the summer and we spent a lazy couple of hours here. Very relaxing.

I went for a wander here on my own and enjoyed it so much I returned with my other half later in the week. The colourful water dragons are everywhere and such fun to watch. We went on the little train to and saw all over this gorgeous place. Beautifully kept gardens full of interesting flowers and plants. Water features... More

On the edge of Brisbane city is this lovely oasis of relaxing parkland's with very old trees and soothing water features. It is great to relax and watch the water animals frolic and the gardens are also excellent. Great to relax after shopping or sightseeing all day

The park is quite new; it is right next to Roma train station. The garden offers visitors a good chance to see flowers, plants and trees. Locals go there to have their lunch or read books under the tree.

I have been to these parklands twice now and both times it failed to disappoint. The gardens are beautiful to walk through and the parklands are kept neat and tidy. The only let down is only one cafe to eat which is a bit of a restriction for food choices.

We had some spare time between trains and had a stroll through the Parkland. Very impressive, especially the water features. Nice and relaxing, the Parkland was very well maintained. We also enjoyed the antics of the local wild-life
