It a lot less far to travel than Canberra for the Floriade but ... so close and just as nice. Great way to spend Sunday walking around in the sun.Quiet in the morning, no schools doing trips. Really taking the time to sell the roses.

We met friends for an end of season picnic and game of kids footie. The park is pretty central in Brisbane and yet it is an oasis of green and water, just really well designed.

This should be on the list of everyone who comes to Brisbane. Struggle through the crappy hell of Roma Street Station and emerge in an oasis of trees, water features, flowers and peace. Just sit in one spot and gaze around or meander through the gardens and enjoy the constantly varying views of parkland and city. Good play areas for... More

A train ride around the park listening to the commentary on the history and flora of the parklands was a brilliant way to spend some time with my mother. In spring the gardens are spectacular and the energy and life gives you a wonderful feeling that lasts.

Roma Street Parklands is right smack in the middle of Brisbane's busy business district, however once you get inside, you'll forget you're even in an urban area. Lush greenery and the variety of plants is a feast for the senses. Not only is the park a good place to relax, there is much to be learned from the plant identification... More

Beautiful, quiet and a great community space. This park has something for everyone with lawn areas, kid spaces, nice landscaping and interesting plants. The train was a nice touch for seeing the area with kids or if your feet need a rest.

I almost didn't go over to Roma Street since I was mostly on the South Bank side, but I'm happy I did since there is a ton of great spots, (dining, shopping, parks, etc)...
