From derelict railway goods yard to another green magicsl oasis ... the roma street park lands are only a 10 min walk from the CBD. Like all good gardens there are defined themed rooms that entice you to keep walking and exploring deeper and deeper into the garden. It is filled with light colour and texture and is magicak. I... And every time I go back I am pleasantly surprised. It's a beautiful inner-city oasis. They have deck chairs around the greens, BBQ and playground facilities all around. It's easy to find a quiet spot nestled away somewhere across the many layers of gardens. The areas are big enough for cricket or frisbee or soccer. just make sure your drinks... More

Great to walk through, great to chill out and just a great escape. Seems like an escape or sanctuary in the middle of the city. Enjoyed the different trees, plants and foliage. The different walks through here really relax you.

All I can say is well done to the council for providing such a lovely park with a lake and water falls, they also have little train that runs through at certain times.

Only a short distance away from the CBD is Roma park, which turned out to a be a real find. Very accessible parkland and well maintained. Ever so quiet given its proximity to local roads and the rail station.

We went for a stroll through the parklands this morning and it was very easy to just wander around and enjoy the different garden scenes and sculptures. Plenty of beautiful water features and there is even a nice kids playground and train ride. Plenty of space and amenities around the main lagoon. Great for a family BBQ or picnic or... More

It was a pleasure to walk in these gardens early morning and in the evening, such a pity I did not visit at night the lighting is spectacular. So clean and luscious greenery. Melbourne should learn from Brisbane not to have rubbish everywhere you go.

Just superb gardens, despite my title it is a garden for all but any gardener would be impressed. It is there for all who care to use it from the young to the young at heart, facilities that make it a peoples park. That said its foral arrangements rival many that I have seen throughout the world, and the design... More
