The parklands are a nice change of pace from the city that surrounds it. Open areas are nicely grassed, plenty of play equipment for children and ultimately close to public transport.

Our hotel was right across the road (Watermark). I am so glad we stayed there or we wouldn't have found these beautiful parklands. The walk is down hills and stairs from the hotel to the train station. The gardens are extremely well kept, with some areas currently undergoing renovations. The are historical statues and plaques through the park, gorgeous bridges... More

This parkland is designed with loads of beautiful themed gardens, lots of grassed areas and water features and lakes. So much to see. It is a large area to walk around it all but relaxing as you do it with something different to look at all the time. We went on a weekend and it was nice to see so... More

The parkland is set out in connected areas that offer an interesting variety of really well designed gardens. Gardeners will love it, as would runners/walkers. Hugely popular for picnics and family gatherings, and there are covered areas with tables and benches. Close to train transport. There is a cafe, and toilets. Good place to de-stress in the city.

I would say this park was created with aim to be able to accommodate large crowd, whole family, lawn events. It is lovely, it has nice landscaping ideas, big artificial lake, BBQ and picnic areas, lovely water features, playground for kids. For a visitor, it is a nice place to stop and relax, with quite a few spots for great... More

Very peaceful early one Sunday but gets busier during the day. Well kept gardens with lots of rubbish bins and toilets. A cafe near Roma Street, bbq's around the place.

Roma Street parklands are a great place for a lunchtime break away from work or a leisurely stroll through beautiful landscape. The parklands have several different 'rooms', including a flowering spectacle garden and a rainforest fernery around the lake. You can sit by the lake and watch the ducks, picnic on the lawn or eat at the restaurant. Very restful... More

Hasn’t this park changed look of this location. Prior to it being a park, this area was nothing more than a railway shunting yard which at most times was empty of rolling stock. It was dry, stripped of vegetation and an eye sore. I worked across the road from it for thirteen years and often walked past the place. Step... More
