I attended a most beautiful concert at St. John's Anglican Cathedral in Brisbane last week. It was held over 2 nights. I would recommend it to others, and believe it is an annual event. Worth making a note of it and making a point of attending in December 2015. Lighting in the Cathedral was breath taking, and the voices of... More

Just lovely, a landmark in Brisbane, if you like old churches have a look inside, very nice. It's been renovated - I think it's worth checking out if you are in the city.

English visitors may very well think that they recognise the building as it is by the same architect as Truro Cathedral. It os rarely visited by tour groups, which is a shame, as it is delightful inside. The staff on duty are very welcoming, and is you happen to be there at a service time do stay: both the choir... Renowned Brisbane landmark where music plays a significant part in the life of St John's Cathedral, as in any great cathedral. At the centre is the Cathedral Choir – a traditional cathedral choir of men and boys in which the boys receive a scholarship to study at the Anglican Church Grammar School . The building is inviting so just step... More

Beautiful, and awe inspiring. Much rich history in this cathedral. Went in just for the heck of it, and was glad we did. Worth a visit when in the CBD. See Julian for a great tour experience.

My father is a big fan of Pearson, who was the original architect of the cathedral. We're from the UK, so this is somewhere my father had never been, but told me I should look at. It was indeed a lovely building - the colour of the stone was great as well as the design of the building. I'm not... More

We had our wedding at this cathedral and it was amazing. We captured incredible pictures with the sunlight streaming through the restored stain glass windows and the gothic style architecture provided the perfect backdrop. The only negative aspect is that they are in the process of replacing the beautiful old pews with 'architectually designed chairs' and while they might be... More

Fairly central on Ann Street, impressive architecture and supremely serene. Simply enjoyed the peace and the time to reflect on the meaning of life!
