This is an excellent place to take your kids as there is a enjoyable water park and plenty of grass banks for picnics. Better to skip busy holidays to get the most out.

Open air. Lovely trees. fantastic huge pool in the centre of the city. You can stroll along the promenade, sit in the shade or go to one of many first class restaurants.

If you are a laid back person and have kids you will like this place. Great appropriate water parks and a fake beach. Lots of crappy food however. Although there is a boost now. Personally am amenable to the fish and chip shop

After riding across the Go Between Bridge to the South Bank Parklands it was wonderful to see so many people enjoying this wonderful area, being Christmas Day there were many different cultures enjoying the holiday by lunching, playing games of cricket, being together. As we rode I noticed that a lot of people from other cultures saying Merry Christmas to... More

We have a daughter who enjoyed this place so much. The water park is fun and great for families with young kids given that it's free. We loved this place so much.

The way landscaping should be done Brisbane seems to be able to get their public spaces right and this parkland has all the right features for all ages to enjoy. Lots of food available from one star up to five star.

If you're into walking, then this is the best area of Brisbane. There a loads of indoor attractions (cafes, theatres, museums, restaurants) and particularly outdoor sites - including a man-made beach. If you got kids, then this is a no-brainer. NOW GET THIS . . there is even a small park area, mid way close to the river that is... More

South Bank Parklands were and still are one of the best things that have been added to Brisbane over the last twenty years. A night out, a picnic, some shopping, breakfast, lunch or dinner, it has something for every situation.

We walked across the river to the south bank. We heard there was a free river bus but decided to walk. The beach is a great idea and excellent for families. Lots to do here as the music fest was on. We saw lots of free music. Excellent times:)
