Great space full of all sorts of fun for the whole family. Loved the beach with the kids water park. Loved the museums and art galleries along with all the shops. Loads of different places to eat. The outdoor areas come complete with green places to lie down that are shaded for your pleasure.

Its not many places in the world that has a beach right in the middle of the city (in fact this is the only place in Australia). I have been here a couple of times but mostly recently it was shut for maintenance so no dipping my toes in but it was the middle of winter so totally understandable. The... More

Perhaps one of the more touristy areas of Brisbane, but it's also one of the coolest! Nice for people watching and complete with an artificial beach, bars and restaurants and if you're there late into the evening keep your eyes peeled for bats!

The best that Brisbane has to offer. Within walking distance from the central mall strip and a very good Science Museum. This side of the river is actually more interesting, and further along is a trendy young suburb for some of the latest cuisine in Queensland.

On the outskirts of the city, this place is a tourist attraction! Loads of shops and eatery places. Can walk across the bridge to the city or catch a ferry across the river, either way is fun and scenic! Love love love this place and what it has to offer <3

South Bank is a perfectly delightful area along the Brisbane River, filled with shops, cafes, restaurants, and activities. It's beautifully landscaped, and a joy to wander through, taking full advantage of the riverfront location. We loved Streets Beach, a lovely man-made white sand beach and "surf" right next to the river. Perfect spot for families with children--so much to do!

Heading from Noosa to Brisbane airport to fly back to NZ, we had a couple of hours to kill and decided to visit South Bank for a wander around and maybe a bite to eat. Did we pick the wrong day - not only was it the first sunny day in a while, our weekend visit coincided with a Food... More

Fantastic river walk with free man made swimming lagoon and beach. Plenty of places to eat and listen to buskers. The south bank includes Japanese friendship gardens and a carved Buddhist temple and a maritime museum.

We spent three days in Brisbane and at least half of everyday we spent here, we came back for all our meals, the pools are fantastic, markets are great, live music and great atmosphere.
