Lovely gardens. Worth having a look. Let the kids have a good time running around. Very peaceful during the day on a week day not so much on a weekend.

big gardens, lovely settings, easy information on plants. The bonsai section was a bit of a miss but all the rest was glorious.

Having visited Sydney's beautiful gardens recently i was looking forward to something similar here but was very disappointed. All of the buildings and greenhouses were in very poor repair and the pathways littered with paper and fallen debris. vibrant flora and greenery. great views of the city from the upper area of the gardens. Sculptural art dotted throughout the gardens adds to the awe of what could be round the corner! If you want to see local wildlife (Brush turkeys and giant frill necked lizards) this is the place too!

You can just have a coffee or ice-crem in the cafe at the entrance or take an idyllic stroll around the relaxed, informative grounds here - they also cater for Registry Weddings/Civil Ceremonies, with a stunning backdrop. Ten minutes from the CBD at the bottom of the drive to Mount Coot-tha!

It has lovely views over the river and towards Kangaroo Point and I believe you may be able to participate in guided tours. When I went, it was kind of muggy... More
