Many restaurants offering a variety of international cuisine..Lots of live entertainment to enjoy. . . Suggest, if visiting West End alone , probably best to visit during the day

A great shopping and cafe/bistro district of Brisbane... Does not have a stuffy feel but rather a ethnically rich and relaxed atmosphere with wonderful shopping or culinary experiences around each corner... There are great West End markets to experience and some of the venues provide live music on weekends and some week nights worth a stroll through ...

We liked the buzzing atmosphere, the variety of shops, but everything seemed a bit "tired". Probably it's better at night when you can't see everything as it is. We have had good meals here - at night, which is why we decided to come back for a wander to see if we knew different places from our youth.

If you have time to spend in West End I suggest you take a round trip on Bus Route 198 which leaves from the stop outside Coles. This bus route is incredible as it goes up and down and around all the hills in West End and Highgate Hill. I couldn't believe it when we turned down this very narrow... More

West End is well known for its Cafes, Restaurants, Bars, Markets, Etc.. I have been here a few times over the years and it never disappoints, This time I was here with a few friends for breakfast after a big night out in the city. Boundary Street is the heart of West End, with a string of services, shops, restaurants, cafe's and bars providing a very cosmopolitan experience. Nearby weekend farmers markets offer some excellent fresh produce, and the whole area is river bound providing access to long bike & walkways. Don't make plans, just go and check it all out, stopping wherever takes your... More

Get there early on a Saturday and enjoy a greet breakfast from one of the food vans. Go there for lunch... More

West End has lots of different options for food and drinks. Trendy atmosphere. People are happy and friendly. It is busy, but you can still get a park without too much trouble (most of it is metered street parking). It was easy walking distance to the SouthBank area (about 15 mins). I would go back here for sure.

Still one of the "in" places. Lots of little popular cafes and restaurants and bars. About 1 kilometre walk from the city centre, or catch a bus. parking can be difficult, especially on a Saturday or most evenings. Some interesting little shops too - from the new age to 2nd hand books. Worth a look around.
