We had four hours to fill before our flight out of Brisbane and decided to take the afternoon cruise. The staff were young but efficient and friendly. Most enjoyable and the four of us thought it a very good introduction to the river and its past role in Brisbane's growth, so much better than sitting at the airport. Best part... More

An excellent day out whilst visiting family in Brisbane. Good value for money. Commentary by captain/tour guide pitched properly, informative about all the landmarks and history. The commentary was not continuous which was great. The gaps gave time to absorb the sights and take pictures without missing the next item. Nice touches like complimentary tea/coffee and scones. Also a real... More

We took a 1.5 hour cruise on the Brisbane River with River City Cruises and had a great time! The seating is a little basic, but the staff were enthusiastic and helpful and the commentary very interesting and informative. A big mention must go to the catering staff - We ordered Vegetable Quiches with salad and they were delicious! Freshly... More

Pleasant way to see the sights and get some good history of the area. You can get free ferry rides to most of the same places but no commentary on them. The cruise is not expensive and you get free morning tea and scones so all in all a nice way to spend a couple of hours.

We visited Brisbane on a cruise ship. In an unfamiliar city sometimes it is difficult to know what to do in the very limited time available on shore. We liked the look of River City Cruises and its itinerary and, thank you to Carolyn who I emailed well before our visit, who patiently explained how to get into the city... More

Attended the morning 10:30am cruise lovely day for it. Helpful staff and skipper, the commentary is very useful tells you info from the olden days to now and the skipper adds some humour which is great. Only negative thing I can say is I told the boy scones and coffee was run out and he did not replace just told... More

Thank you for your lovely feedback. We are glad you enjoyed the cruise! The self serve, complimentary morning is replenished frequently during the cruise and staff endeavour to ensure all guests are served. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay in Brisbane. More

I attended the cruise as part of a Brisbane bus tour where we joined the cruise at Breakfast Creek for the 45 minute return cruise to Southbank. The boat has an enclosed main deck and a covered upper deck. The crew were helpful in assisting people onto the boat, and complimentary coffee was served. The cruise passed old cargo sheds... More

Its a very nice city, but I found the experience quite boring. I must admit to doing these sorts of cruises in other cities, but this was not to scratch. The sound system on the boat was poor, did not hear most of the commentary, and noisy passengers talking about other things just made the trip uninteresting. I just wanted... More

Thank you for your feedback - it is a shame you found the cruise "boring". We take great pride in showing off Brisbane to visitors and this is reflected in most of the reviews we receive. As part of our commentary, we go to great lengths to stress if there is anything at all we can do to make your... More
