No mach for the Australian Museum in Sydney but still a good museum. Saw the temporary dinosaur exhibit and thought it was fun but not worth the $15 entry fee (I had concession though so only $13.50). General admission is free which is nice. The layout doesn't seem very intuitive ecept on level 2. Other levels were a little confusing.... More

My daughter and i loved the science centre here & it's well worth a visit if you have kids in tow. Great for all ages - there were children as young as 2 enjoying the interactions. Quite informative about the body, weather, physics and much more. Some great illusions explained. Well worth a visit.

Want to see the plastic dinosaurs (and some real bones)? The Queensland Museum does a good job on these, but go further to see other exhibits. As with all museums there are some that are permanent, but the visiting or special event displays are always worth seeing. There's usually a fee for the visiting exhibits, but it's worth paying.

It seems that some of these museums are more focused on trying to provide as much of a variety as possible rather than trying to focus on one particular topic, but with the multitude of displays it can sometimes take hours simply to make your way through everything, Mind you we didn't see everything when we came here - we... Walking distance from central business district. Friendly staff, allow a few hours to explore the museum with the kids. Will visit again.

One of the best museums I've ever visited. The dinosaur exhibition is very interesting to see. Very educational and lively museum. The best part is that most of the exhibitions are FREE!

Definite allocate a whole day to visit, especially if doing the science centre also. Best of all the museum is free! Heaps to keep the kids occupied. Located close to lots of other great locations like South bank, QPAC and the citycat.

A special treat for children of all ages at the Queensland Museum with the animated dinosaur exhibition. This is the most amazing collection of full size dinosaurs, complete with their environment and sound effects. The children love them and the adults are very impressed. The ticket lines are long but they move quickly. Discounts apply for families, pensioners and seniors.
