Oops it's moved to the Big Pineapple, so that's a place to venture too. Used to be convenient for overnight visitors or overseas visitors when trying to cram a lot in. Always found it more inviting than Australia Zoo (Steve Irwin place), not so gimmicky and slick, more animal friendly for kids and those a timid nature.

You do not need to travel into the country to see Australian Native Animals. Only a 20 minute drive from the centre of Brisbane, you will find this place and experience many of the local Animals and other attractions. Great for the family and just for a day visit.

Best little Zoo on the way to the Sunshine Coast & a good way to get really close to the action. Good value for money & you will enjoy your day here.

Alma Park Zoo is a small but lovely zoo which is suitable for smaller children. Lots of local animals such as koalas, kangaroos, peacocks, marsupials and even a tasmanian devil. Great place to take the kids on a day trip close to Brisbane and Sunshine Coast. Price was reasonable.

I've lived in Australia for many years and never seen a quoll until I came to this zoo. Or a sun bear for that matter and I have travelled around Asia. And there was an animal (the name escapes me - you will have to go and find out for yourself) that I never even knew existed until going to... More
