I often walk or cycle there on my way home. The pros: great views on the Brisbane River, accessible by ferry, can cycle along the river, fresh breeze. Cons: Ridiculously expensive food and drinks (even by Australian standards!), people walking in a reckless way (even when not drunk) will prevent you from cycling or even walking.

Another 30 minutes had passed and no sign of food or drinks. Totally disorganized staff have no idea of which customers came in first. Others whom arrived... More

Although it's a great place to meet and eat with a wonderful selection of restaurants, please, please check the parking 'terms' or you will end up paying in excess of $50 parking

the best place to be skinned alive by the so called celebrity [of what?] chefs, horrendous prices in mostly all of them where their fangs are waiting for you, just pass through .

Take the ferry to Eagle Street and enjoy the view of the Story Bridge from the city's pier. There are many restaurants to enjoy whilst you gaze across the Brisbane river and watch life go by. There is much to do in Brisbane and this is a great place to start. Best not to go at lunchtime or on Friday... More

The best time is to go at night. There ate great resteraunts, light and atmosphere. Brisbane is better at night. Take the city cat for a top night out.

visitors and locals alike, should love this part of the city. The walk itself it nice as the facilities are clean and accessible by both the city cat and buses. There are numerous restaurants along here, that cater to every budget. The strip becomes rather noise on Friday night thanks to all the office workers having a good evening after... More

This area has a good selection of restaurants, some I believe owned by chefs who have been on the television, so you can also spot celebrities at some of the restaurants. You pay a bit more but a very good area of choice.

A very nice walk along the river from where we caught the city cat and Eagle street with lots of eatery spots and just down from the free loop bus ride.
