This is a very nice, and scenic area. There are quite a few high-end restaurants here, and it is a pleasant place to walk around. For a vacationing family with kids, there are fewer good options around here. While there are certainly a handful of options, the Queen St. Mall is much better for this group. Definitely worth a visit... More

This is a more sophisticated area with lots of places to eat and and enjoy the ambience of the river side. An excellent place to disembark and visit the nearby Botanical gardens or just stay around and watch the riverboats and enjoy the sunlight on the water . Our apartment was nearby so most of our days began here.

It was a relaxing area with many coffee shops n restaurants. One can enjoy the Bribane River view, enjoying the wind blow over your face n at the same time have a cup of coffee.

On our second day in Brisbane we walked, sharing the path with bicycles, from the Botanic Garden to the entrance of Eagle Street Pier and had a beer here. We spent our last day here during the Melbourne Cup and eating at the Bavarian Bier Cafe. It is a nice waterfront area by the river with many restaurants and bars.... More

This has always been a beautiful walk any time of day but especially pretty in weekends when the markets are on - one not to be missed.

A great place to watch what is going on on the river. A good place to enter the River Walk and access a score of wonderful restaurants and bars.

Visited on Sunday morning with lots of local artisans selling their merchandise as well as restaurants to sit and enjoy a coffee or a meal.

Go to the weekend market for breakfast and lunch and enjoy the shopping of mainly Australian art but everything is available as a market should be. Very clean and well organised

Going to work or going to the Botanic Garden, I always choose to spend some times on the Pier. Watch out for busy people and crazy cyclists. This is a great gateway to fine or cheap restaurants, great view on the Story Bridge, best place to catch a ferry or just for a night walk.
