Standing at the front of the Citycat on the deck outside, Kate Winslet style, hair blowing in the breeze as you cruise under the Story Bridge and the sun beats down on you, or at night, with the warm night air gently buffeting you as Brisbane's gorgeous skyline is lit up along the river is without doubt the very best... The fare is reasonable and the timetable allows you to get around without delay. The seats are comfy and it is climate controlled for those hot days. If you want to do the old style tour of the river I would recommend the City Hopper that plies it's way between Sydney Street and North Quay. It's slower, older and is... More

What a great way to see and get around Brisbane, travel from The University of Queensland past some fantastic real estate and tree lined parks to Southbank Parklands and beyond. Hop off at the Regatta Hotel and enjoy a drink or meal at this famous local landmark. A great value for money way to see the city from a different angle... More

Great day out , relaxing seeing Brisbane change from Hamiliton, new Farm , under Story Bridge, through city and stop at South Bank. You can continue further up the river loking at lovely houses and bush. Only drawback was ticketing.

My experience is only at at daytime and i have taken visitors on this trip because it shows off the city to, what i think is the best vantage point. I like the trip from east to west best. Although I have not done this at night, my experience of driving through Brisbane at night particularly along the water front... More

I love going up and down the Brisbane River from end to end just to take in the view. I get on in the city either from the Southbank Parkland or the City pier stop under the bridge on the other side and go either up or down. Going down it goes as far as just before the big overpass... More

Easy to catch, many stops, cooling breezes through your hair, avoid the traffic, can use your GoCard as with buses, trains and ferries. Easy travel to an array of different suburbs, with unique atmospheres, some with many coffee shops, restaurants, historic pubs, markets, local cinemas, all with individual feel different to the Brisbane CBD. See Brisbane from a viewpoint you... More

To see Brisbane from a new perspective take a CityCat for a run up or down the river. We saw dolphins on the way up to Bretts Wharf the other day & my partner loves to stand at the front as it races along returning windswept & exhilarated. Certainly the only public transport I could ever say that about!
