Awesome free boat ride

The red boat is great! We couldn't believe it was free and were so grateful when our guide suggested it. It goes up and down the river every 30 minutes all day. Not as fast as the bigger blue boats but it's fun all the same.

One of the things I have always loved doing as a visitor was riding the city cats up and down the river when in town. Now I am living here I now introduce others to a relaxing ride on the Brisbane river. I can only imagine what a nice way to start the work day than a comute along the... More

As visitors to Brisbane we were pleasantly surprised that everyone on Citycat was so helpful and friendly when we tried to find our way to cruise terminal. It was an excellent was to get to cruise terminal without having to go by taxi. Highly recommend it, and the staff were all helpful. Price was good , and you don't have... More

Excellent service and great way of seeing the city from the river that meanders through the various suburbs backing into the Brisbane river

A really good service provided by Brisbane City Council, for less than $5 for single trip, a reliable and good service by Ferry. Using GO Card will give you cheaper Ticket It covers Ferry Terminals from as far as University of Queensland – St Lucia Terminal, to the other limit down stream at North Shore Terminal, Hamilton. Either for locals,... More

Wonderful way to see Brisbane! Traveled from the North Quay stop down to St Lucia and back a few times. Could not be easier. Ask the staff when you board for help buying and using the city-wide Go Card; they are more than eager to help. Smooth ride, different perspective on the city.

Travelled the length of the City Cat route from Queensland Uni and return. Gives a totally different insight into this growing city on the river. Several great stopping points, highly recommended are Southbank for the parks, incredible swimming pool, vast choice of cafes and restaurants and of course the Museum and Art Galleries, Riverside also for the large variety of... Really neat bus-type system that allows you unique views of the city. Clean and safe way to travel around Brisbane while enjoying the beautiful weather the city has to offer.

Buy a GoCard and see Brisbane on the cheap. You can go up and down the Brisbane River in about 2-hours and see Brisbane in a very relaxed way. The cost is about $4 dollars per person. This is a lot cheaper than going on a 2-3 hour Brisbane River cruise. You can have lunch at many places but the... More

My husband and I recently had an impromptu ride on the CityCat from Hamilton Northshore. We jumped off at Teneriffe and had a coffee at a local bakery. A lovely way to spend an hour or 2 especially as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary.
