We walked down to the Citycat terminal at Bretts Wharf on a glorious public holiday Monday in June. Everyone from tourists from a cruise ship, senior locals, families with strollers and romantic couples were on board and everyone enjoyed the relaxing cruise up the Brisbane River. The skyline dazzled and the water shimmered in the delightful winter sunlight. There was... More

This is really nice way to see the city and also very effective. Good connections to other ways of transport.

Nice and fast way to get to UQ St. Lucia (among other places along the river). You can use it with the Go Card. Runs in every 15-20 minutes.

Truly is the best way to get around and see Brisbane. Prices are the only criticism I would have. Although there is also the City Hopper Ferry which is free albeit slower. The Hopper only services the main city and southbank terminals so if you wanted to go further up/down stream then pay and use the City Cat. It is... More

Even for locals the City Cat is a great way to go out and see Brisbane as a local tourist. I have used the City Cats periodically for years now but not as a commuter - rather on days out when visiting sites along the meandering Brisbane River. Brisbane is a great river city and the Cats are the best... More

Always a great idea to catch the Citycat. Great for tourists as it gives a cheap interesting ride along the river. Suggest you start in the city and ride up to Hamilton and then all the way back down towards the university!

We had decided to take a walk along the River, and ended up by the city beach. We noticed the City Cat traveling along and thought this would be a good way to see Brisbane from a different perspective. We walked to the nearest Jetty and waited (it only runs half hourly from memory) and does take a long time... More

We travelled the round trip as a sight seeing trip. Basically 2 hours. School holidays - quite busy, kids with bikes traveling between destinations. Very friendly and helpful staff. The ticket machine was "down" so they advised travel was free while it was not working. You can get on and off and so long as you are back on within... More
