When you use the City Cat Ferry get a go card as it works out cheaper this way. You get great views of all the river side houses. You can sit or stand outside and get a great view or just sit inside in comfort.

The CityCats, introduced primarily as a commuter service, have been part of the Brisbane's waterways scene for almost 20 years. While introduced to assist with commuter transport, the catamarans soon, for obvious reasons to anyone who has used ferry services in other cities, became favourites with the locals and tourists alike. On this last occasion on the ferries, people sitting... More

It fun to be able to stay out side of the Brisbane CBD and still have great access to the city and surrounding areas. The Citycat ferry is one of the most pleasant ways to travel to the city and also surrounding suburbs with out the hassle and bustle of local street traffic. Give it a try you will be... More

Great way for Tourists to see the city by day & evening. Combined with the "free" loop Buses around the city, it's a cheap & easy way to get around Brisbane to see the sites. The "tap & go" public transport system for fares is also very easy to use.

Cruised the river on the ferry service around sunset and it was great to see the cliffs in the lower reaches of the river floodlit. A good way to spend some relaxing time.

We were very pleased with the CityCat ferry. Easy to get on and off. All stops were easy to find and close to all the places we needed to go. The staff were very friendly and ready to help if required. Our questions were answered efficiently and as we are not used to using public transport we took their advice... More

Great service, very regular even at night. Great way to get to the city, Botanic gardens, Riverside market etc. Even went to a Wedding and back on one. Sorting out what sort of card to get wasn't well explained though and ended up spending more than I needed to.

there are two boat services along the Brisbane river one is the city cat which costs around $6 for an adult ticket the other method is on the free ferries which are far less luxurious but do have the fantastic advantage of being free. I'm not sure of their time table but city cat services seem to run at about... More
