Buy a day pass and hop on and off as the mood takes you. Stops are at many of the interesting places to see, The Powerhouse museum, New Farm Park, Eagle St Pier, Southbank and the museum/art gallery precinct. It is a very easy going day out with the river providing great views of the city and surrounds.

Brisbane's CityCats are a great way to explore the Brisbane river and some more out of the way parts of the city. Get yourself a Go card and it can be quite inexpensive, too. Travel up river to the last stop at St Lucia for a look at the University of Queensland with its own art gallery and its stately... More

I recently hosted an overseas visitor to Brisbane & spent a lovely day seeing the sights of Brisbane from the river. We boarded from the newest 'City Cat' stop 'North Shore' down river at Hamilton, from here we were able to cruise all the way into the city & further reaches of the Brisbane River. Cruising on the City Cat... More

Best way to travel between suburbs and city time permitting. I have taken the City Cat many times from Bretts Wharf (Ascot) to UQ - a most pleasant and relaxing trip and good value for money. All our overseas visitors love the trip in the City Cat.

We were unsure of the road closures during Riverfire in September so we parked at Bulimba terminal and caught the city cat across to Eagle St Pier. Not only was it convenient it was comfortable and the view from the river of the story bridge and tbe city was great very inexpensive.

I have used the City Cat on the Brisbane River quite a few times to show interstate and overseas guests our very beautiful city. It is a great ride and one can see the city skyline, go under the Storey Bridge, watch the cafes and restaurants on the riverside and also use it as a means of public transport, should... More
