The Brisbane City Cat is probably one of the best way to see a city, save for theVaporetto of Venice,City Cat is cheap, convenient and ties in with all other transport systems. The view from the vessels. is second to no other public transport. To make the best of this be sure to buy a Go Card at multiple public and private outlets... I love the Citycats and always try and encourage visitors to take a trip. As Brisbane is build along the winding banks of the river, the Citycat is the best way to get great views of the city and inner suburbs as well as get around easily on public transport. There is nothing like cruising along the river especially at... More

Buy a round trip excursion ticket and head to the front of the ferry. Be careful of your hat because these things pick up quite a bit of speed. There are some beautiful houses to be seen and the city skyline is spectacular from the river. You can get off wherever you like then jump on the next ferry when... More

We were only in Brisbane for the day and taken on the Ferry by some Australian friends. The Cats are quick and run every 15 mnutes or so. What sets them apart from British public transport is that they are staffed by crew who actually seem interested in engaging with their visitors and provide a warm welcome on board. We... More

What an amazing way to enjoy the spectacular scenery that Brisbane has to offer. Hop off and on with a 2 hour ticket and explore the wonders of our 'beautiful one Day Perfect the Next' city. Visit South bank the home of world expo site, or just settle back and enjoy the fast smooth cruising of our River Cat Ferry.

A perfect way to see Brisbane. The CityCat ferries run from Brett's Wharf (near the mouth of the Brisbane River) through the city and up to the University of Queensland. By day or night there's no better way to see Brisbane at its best. And you can stop off at any of the stops along the way with great spots... More

Brisbane River is a grand ol gal, wending her way through Queensland's capital and Citycat is the best way to travel. CITYCATS are fast and relatively cheap publuc ferries regularly cruising the river seven days a week. The water view gives a new perspective to the river city. Sit outside and catch the breeze on a warm evening heading towards... More

Just purchase a Go Card at most convenience store and hop on board for a fun way to enjoy the city sights along the Brisbane river. TheCity Cats run about every 15 minutes, but be careful during Rush Hour in the mornings because there are some Cats that stop in the CBD and turn around to serve more commuters. But... More

This is a really lovely way to see Brisbane...for about $5 you can spend the day on the river and see all the big sights; Southbank, the museum and art gallery, the mall and casino, Eagle street with all the restaurants and bars, and New Farm park, and the great coffee and deli's of New Farm. My recommendation - catch... More

I have used the CityCat mostly to travel from Southbank to New Farm. It is very convenient for me to take my grandchildren to the fabulous New Farm playground. It is best to have a GoCard ticket but the helpful staff with assist you with ticket prices. The journey is not fast and there are numerous stops so don't be... More
