It's a lookout. This in itself isn't really wow, but it is a lovely view, and comes complete with restaurant ( sorry didn't eat there) which looks nice but is PRICEY, a cafe,( it's also pretty pricey over seven dollars for a bowl of very basic French fries. There are bush walks and hikes which are lovely, and despite the... More

The Mt Coot-tha lookout has been popular with both visitors to Brisbane and locals for more than 100 years. On a clear day the views go for more than 100Km. My personal preference is to get there late in the day and watch the transition from day to night. The restaurant is a Brisbane classic and has been run by... More

on a beautiful day the view is more than impressive, it is so flat ! apart from the little hills (I am from Europe ok, so it all looks smaller here). ice cream while sitting on the grass chilling out waiting for sunset. Very relaxing little visit. Stop by the botanical gardens prior and it makes it even more worth... More

As we were staying in Brisbane it was not a long journey by car to this Mt which has stunning views across the surrounding countryside

The place to visit to get the perfect view over Brisbane city and a nice area with a lot of different walks to do (but be aware that they can be more difficult then they seem from the description on the map, because they can be very steep!)

This is a great place to visit if you want to see a panorama of Brisbane and surrounding districts. It was a clear day when we came and we could see for miles.

We visited many times when I was a kid and I was shocked to return in 2015 and see how truly beautiful the view of the city is. Many tourists were there on my last visit but it is a shame the locals don't frequent this place. There is quite cheap cafe which is great for a snack or The Summit... More

You can drive right to the top of Mount Coot-tha simply by driving along Milton Road out from the City and following the signs as you wind around past the Botanical gardens prior to turning left off the main road and following the steep winding road to the summit. No matter what the day or night there is always a... More

A great place to obtain an overview of the City of Brisbane and its surrounding area. Easy to access and relatively close to the CBD.

A great photo opportunity with gorgeous views of Brisbane city and the surrounding areas. Downside, very little parking available so be prepared to drive around a few times to find a spot. Also, food at the café is quite overpriced for what is on offer.
