I always walk the Araucaria track here when I visit Brisbane. It's a 5 kilometer circular walk, mostly skirting round the reservoir, offering a fair amount of shade and a couple of benches on which to contemplate the well wooded areas adjacent to the water. The Corymbia Circuit is a short walk (1.5kilometres) starting from the Walkabout Creek Wildlife Centre. With more time available, it can be combined with Araucaria Track. We took our German exchange student here for a quick look at some Australian wild life. Then we did the hour walk around the reserve. The amount of bird life was amazing, and even more so that it is just on the outskirts of Brisbane suburbia!

The Wild Life Centre (which can be found by taking the exit into the Walkabout Creek Conference Centre) is a small wild life sanctuary but it is fantastic.
