I've given this a very good mainly for the sensational sunset but if you're at the markets from APril to October, i found it far too crowded and not a great deal took my fancy. ALthough, the variety of different foods you can buy is phenominal! As I said, once the sun starts to go down, the beach gets too... More

These markets are well known however my friends had talked it up quite a but so I was a little disappointed. There is a nice atmosphere and to be honest it was the most people I had seen in one place during my time in Darwin. There were a couple of buskers around -a guy with a whip and a... More

Mindil beach sunset markets are a definite for Darwin Tourists. We went on the bus from Darwin central $1 each !!! The markets were spectacular with every form of asian dish known to mankind as well as standard market fare. There was a free fire dancing show. The sunset from the beach was worth a look but I was more... More

You have to see these markets while you're in Darwin! Extend your stay if you must! There was so much food that we walked around for about half an hour trying to decide what looked the most delicious! It was a hard choice but we eventually chose some Chinese food recommended by some of the store holders, it was delicious.... More

Mindil beach is almost world renowned but to be honest, it wasnt anything flash. Good food stalls and quite varied but my wife was bored because there werent too many other stalls. It is 90% food stalls only. The only saving grace was in fact the beautiful sunset from the beach itself. Another thing it needs to be frank is... More

we went early to get spot on the beach, as gets very crowded. Took our bottle of wine and watched the amazing sunset. Lots of Food stalls. Gift stalls a few but just the average items you would buy at any markets. But a lot of food stalls, which seem very popular. We had our chicken Kebabs with wine on... More

Highly recommend that you visit here for one of the entertainment nights. Really relaxed, but great fun. Plenty of food options, small stalls, entrainment all along the stalls. But you can just relax on the beach and watch the night pass by

Beautiful fresh food from all over the world to choose from while sitting on the beach and watching the famous sunset. We went on the Thursday night, it only operates in the dry season so check the website.

Went to the sunset market first and walked to the beach to watch the sunset. Lots of local & tourists sitting on the beach waiting for the sun to set. The sea breeze was wonderful and with the buzz of the sunset market behind us, it was a great feeling. A must visit when in Darwin.
