We walk from our hotel the Mantra Pandaras to Mindil Beach which took a leisurely 40 minute walk. We arrived there about 4.45pm and the beach and the market area was just starting to bustle. We first walk down the avenue where all the food stalls were set up. There was a great variety of foods and at reasonable prices.... More

If you are looking for somewhere to go and watch sunset and get a bite to eat this is the place on some evenings. A hangout for backpackers at other times, and good meeting point for travellers.

fantastic environment. Operating on Sunday and Thursday nights during our 'dry season' only, a eclectic collection of craft stalls and multicultural food from all regions. Still one of the very few placed that you can bring your own grog and sit of the grass or the beach and enjoy. Lots of entertainment for everyone and the food is amazing (maybe... More

At Mindil beach you can enjoy spectacular Darwin sunsets, the colours in the sky are divine, in the Dry Season the local markets are held there two nights per week, with lots of stall to buy those gifts for family and friends back home. The food stalls are great and diverse with all tastes catered for, take a table and chairs... More

Must visit during sunset. It is a large area. Plenty of car parking spaces are available. Perhaps take a blanket, biscuits and dips and of course some bevies to watch the sunset. Google the time of the sunset to maximise your time.

Delicious food, funky stalls, killer sunsets, free entertainment. What more could I ask for. Just don't forget to take your grog if you feel like a cold one as it is BYO!

the mindil beach markets have a wide range of food stalls and nick knacks to buy. Sunset is good but can get very crowded , I suggest get there when it just opens or late at night before closing

The sunsets from this beach as stunning. I was here almost every night of my stay. And the market which heats up just after sunset is cool too. Local music, incredible asian/fusion food, and more to be enjoyed into the night.

Every time we go to Darwin we always spent a Thursday evening at the Markets. Love to wonder around and to have a look at the crafts on offer. The whole festival feel is a real draw card for Darwin and the Multicultural Cuisine on offer is a great way to try many tempting varieties of food. Then there is... More

Plenty of stalls with a great variety of items on offer. Food choice was large and at good prices - we even bought for the next day for heating in the campervan.
