Beautiful fresh food from all over the world to choose from while sitting on the beach and watching the famous sunset. We went on the Thursday night, it only operates in the dry season so check the website.

Really big and interesting, many food stalls most reasonably priced, lots of shows. Very busy so get there early.

Went to the sunset market first and walked to the beach to watch the sunset. Lots of local & tourists sitting on the beach waiting for the sun to set. The sea breeze was wonderful and with the buzz of the sunset market behind us, it was a great feeling. A must visit when in Darwin.

We really enjoyed walking round this market. Mainly food stalls. Be aware one of us ate Chinese from a really clean looking stall and had tummy problems next day. The other ate gluten free and had lots of choice. Very popular with locals and holiday makers. Felt very safe, patrolled by local police. Entertainment by bands in food seating area... More

The Mindil beach markets is an essential part of your visit to Darwin. It is a melting pot of cultures - my favorite being the Indonesian food stall. Sunset in the beach is a great attraction, with the market becoming half-empty when this event occurs. Unfortunately, because of jellyfish dangers, you cannot swim on the beach. Definitely a must for... More

Good selection of food and crafts. Relaxing evening and a fabulous sunset to finish the day. The artwork on display is really beautiful and a great way for the indigenous to sell their work

Really enjoyed the market. It seems that a lot of the locals come every week, bringing blankets and beer. Kids running around playing with each other, great stalls, lovely food and some entertainers doing magic and busking. Sunset on the beach was beautiful, with lots of people camped out there for the evening. Even had a hen night the night... More

Didn't find the markets all that good but fantastic sunset from the beach. Perhaps I was just too tired from the trip up from Sydney, but I didn't particularly find any goods to interest me

I have always been told to visit the Mindle Beach Markets when in Darwin. They were not wrong, it is the happening thing to do on a Thursday evening, wander amongst the variety of International cuisine and take you delicious selection to the beach and take in the spectacular sunset followed by a walking to the many modes of entertainment...
