A lovely location with beautiful sunsets and, on certain days, a lovely traditional market catering for most needs but in particular very tempting food stalls serving hot traditional foods from many countries. Truly a lovely experience.

Fabulous markets at Mindil Beach on Thursday nights set against a magnificent sunset. Lots of delicious food stall with an amazing selection of cuisines. An incredible experience to spend an evening here. The sunsets are fuelled by the smoke from the many "burning off" fires and as this is the dry season great weather is guaranteed.

Mindil beach is best known for its markets on Thursdays and Sundays during the dry season and it fantastic sunsets. There are plenty of food stalls that operate during the markets, and also plenty of stalls selling knick knacks and all the other touristy stuff. While they are always packed with people during the markets its still well worth heading... More

I came here for the night time markets and it is definitely a must do in Darwin. Lots to look at and to buy with great food too! We went up to the beach and enjoyed the firework show - they kept getting better and better.

Watching the sun set from Mindil is a must, a beautiful sight. I was lucky enough to go to the last Mindil market for the year, it's was amazing, the... More

My first visit was on the last day of the market season. Starts again in the dry season. Lots of goodies to browse. Good food and the best sunsets viewed from the beach. Picked up a few bargains: clothes, paintings and Northern Territory curios. Time well spent.

This is a great market with a variety of both food and crafts etc. it gets very busy however there is lots of parking even if you do have to walk a ways. It also gets pretty hot so dress light and enjoy the sunset on the beach.
