Markets are on Thursdays (late afternoon into the evening) and Sundays from 4.00 pm from April to October. Time your visit before sunset to choose from the many food stalls which cover a variety of tastes. Food choices range from the tastes of many Asian countries to the Australian crocodile dishes. It tastes like chicken. Then go and sit on... More

Didn't see the beach but went to the market. I bought several original items but had seen it all in half an hour. There were some interesting stalls to be sure, and plenty of creative items.

I expected alot more variety on offer at the stalls but was surprised at the amount of food on offer! So many choices of food and drinks but I did expect better market prices! Mind I'll Beach has some of the best Sunset in Darwin. It's beautiful to walk źup and down the Beach. In the Dry Season you can go fir a nice Swimming. This is also the place where the famous Mindil Beach Market is.

Highly overrated markets and food but tourists and locals love it. Markets are Thursday and Sunday nights from May to October. The fire-eater does a good show and there is often live music. Take a picnic instead and go and sit on the beach and enjoy the spectacular tropical sunset any night.

Mindil beach sunset markets were a real experience - so much good food and an awful lot to see.. Only gripe is that nowhere served alcohol but I imagine rowdy people could ruin it all.

Can't swim because of deadly box jelly fish, and also possible "unexploded ordinance"! True, there's a sign warning of this. Not the best beach

The tropical warmth and scent of the flowers add to the varied and tasty food stalls and craft stalls. i loved this market and the sunset. Enjoyed the music, the fresh oysters and art. A great memory of Darwin.
