Too Good to be free!

Great swimming hole surrounded by miles of well grassed shady spots. Ideal and safe to take the family on a hot day.

This is a family favourite! Magnificent ambience, excellent public facilities & fresh air! For picnic, relaxing drive-thru, early evening BBQ and breakfast! Once a year during the dry season a group of friends meet for 'bacon n eggs' brekky. Free facilities. Further down, there is more to see - Military museum and if you are lucky ...greeted by wild kangaroos!... More

For a safe place to swim with the children, you cannot beat Lake Alexander, near the water at Fannie Bay,and sandy bottom, safe location to swim with the little ones. A popular spot all year round with great BBQ, and Picnic amenities located close by the swimming area.

Good place to have our outdoor Easter egg hunt. Had to double check trees for green ants otherwise it was nice. Able to swim too. Big playground.

Good parking, fantastic playground, clean park and BBQ areas. But I would never go swimming or let my son near the lagoon water. Wish there was a fence around the play equipment, so it would be easier to keep my son contained lol Defiantly recommend it for young families

A fantastic place to take the kids. You can swim in the pond or watch them play on the play ground equipment. Parking is easy. BBQs are available. Lovely fresh air and views of nature.

This is a gem of a spot in Darwin, with a great view over the harbour, undercover BBQ facilities and a nice walking/bike track that takes you out to East Point. The type of place to take a picnic down too, and enjoy the afternoon and the view. But make sure you take supplies because there are no shops down... More

You honestly expect us to believe that a croc won't walk 50m from the beach into this place and that it's safe!? We saw what looked to be a field trip of school kids swimming in this Lagoon. My advice is that you visit one of the croc parks and confide in a crocodile expert before trusting places like this.

Its a wonderful place for a gentle walk. There are BBQs and play equipment in park and plenty of parking. The beach is less than 100 Metres away if want to continue to walk or watch the sea. I see plenty of people canoeing, kayaking or other similar water sports. Great place for a lazy Sunday afternoon in the Sade.
