A fantastic place to take the kids. You can swim in the pond or watch them play on the play ground equipment. Parking is easy. BBQs are available. Lovely fresh air and views of nature.

This is a gem of a spot in Darwin, with a great view over the harbour, undercover BBQ facilities and a nice walking/bike track that takes you out to East Point. The type of place to take a picnic down too, and enjoy the afternoon and the view. But make sure you take supplies because there are no shops down... More

You honestly expect us to believe that a croc won't walk 50m from the beach into this place and that it's safe!? We saw what looked to be a field trip of school kids swimming in this Lagoon. My advice is that you visit one of the croc parks and confide in a crocodile expert before trusting places like this.

Its a wonderful place for a gentle walk. There are BBQs and play equipment in park and plenty of parking. The beach is less than 100 Metres away if want to continue to walk or watch the sea. I see plenty of people canoeing, kayaking or other similar water sports. Great place for a lazy Sunday afternoon in the Sade.

Family gathering & all year around swimming eg: BBQ, family picnic, team building venue ( offices), children parties etc. must add this place for any occasions. It's free entry.

A nice place to just hung out by the lake, read a book or take a nap. There's also a public shower that you can use after a swim.

Late September is very hot in Darwin and this park had a large playground which was covered in shade cloth, making it nice and shady for the kids. Playground was suitable for small and bigger kids. Perfect for curing hotel-roomitis. Its right next to the Lake which looked like a good place to cool off. The Lake had hard sand... More

It's really nice here. Spend a few hours soaking up the sun on the grass and then go for a swim in the lake (yes it's safe albeit sometimes a bit dirty) Really nice scenic spot though and easy to find your own quiet spot. BBQ facilities and playground nearby too.

I would not recommend this lake for swimming. It is crocodile and stinger free, but a bit muddy on the bottom. Good for barbeque and picnic area for groups. Shaded area with tables. Bring your own picnic rug. Facilities not far away.
