It is part of the Mary River wetlands and is a wildlife experience not to be missed. Corroboree Billabong is Darwin's closest wetland cruise option and you can either drive yourself to the cruise(75 - 90 minutes) or take a half day tour from Darwin. « less

Wow what a experience. We drove to Corroboree Billabong and took the 2 and half hour lunch cruise. The road was in good condition and very easy to drive. It took us 80 minutes from Darwin. Very easy to self drive. We took a car from Bargain Car Rentals as they allowed us to drive on well formed gravel roads.... More

On Thursday, 25 th July we my husband and I took part in a lunch cruise. We used the shuttle bus service from the Corroboree Park Tavern which was very handy. The bus driver was very informative, telling us about the vegetation and the agistment of cattle locally for the live export trade. The cruise was a wonderful experience for... More

We recently did a cruise with Wetland Cruises and it was wonderful. The birdlife was fantastic, one of the main reasons we did the tour and we certainly were not disappointed. Without a boat it is very difficult to get close to some birds to get photos and this was a great opportunity for photos. The only disappointment, was the... More

Did the Wetlands lunch cruise a couple of days ago. Drove to Corroboree Tavern and got picked up by the tour bus from there. The guide was informative and the cold meat and salad lunch was very good. Very good cruise deep into the wetlands. Saw some huge crocs.

Hi Suzie, thanks for your review. It`s a great time of year for seeing crocs as the colder weather gets them out "sun-bathing" on the banks trying to warm up. We have some very big crocs on the billabong not to mention the spectacular lilies all around the wetlands and beautiful birdlife. I am pleased that you enjoyed the lunch... More

Drove to the Mary River to pick up the cruise. Partly dirt road but very easy to drive on. Chose the midday cruise of 2.5 hours with lunch included. Excellent , huge, salad with bread. Saw many crocodiles sunning themselves on the banks. Lots of bird life, brolgas, Jabarus and more. Amy was very informative with a good sense of... More

Hi Yvonne, thanks for your wonderful review. The 2.5 hour lunch cruise is very popular as it gives you a nice amount of time on the wetlands and is not too rushed. Having lunch on the wetlands is also a nice experience. Our cruise is a very similar wildlife experience to Yellow Waters, without needing to drive an extra 400km... More

We joined the Wetlands Tour from our Darwin Hotel, picked up other travellers from various locations and enjoyed the drive to Corroboree Billabong, being entertained and informed along the way by Tanya, our Driver/Guide for the day. At the Billabong, another Guide (Amy) came with us on the boat and between Amy and Tanya we were given a great insight... More

We try and make the drive and information provided as entertaining as possible. We regularly... More

In order to see the wetlands and to get an insight into the habitat and the wild life this is an interesting and informative excursion, Flora and fawna take on a different appearance when you are there in amoungst it.
