Early start from Hotel around 5am, then by 4 x 4 to Corroboree Billabong, about 1+ hours out of Darwin City, then into a lovely boat for 4 fishermen/women and the Tour guide. In this case it was chris, a real down to earth bloke, originally from South Austyralia and he obviously knew his waters well and tried everything for... More

Just spent 2 days with Chris out at Corroboree then Shoal Bay and Darwin Harbour Sport Fishing. Chris knows all the spots in the Billabong and on the blue stuff so no time was wasted when the fish dropped off. Not the best time of year for the Barra but Chris's experience and persistence got us on to them along... More

This is the second time I've been fishing with these guys. It's quite an experience fishing corroborree billabong and look forward to going back. I felt the first trip gave us more variety of fishing. We trolled for Barra in the morning with no luck then changed to spinning for Saratoga. Was a great day with heaps of Saratoga caught.... More

When we got out there it was freezing on the water (and thats from a mexican who lives on the great devide in Vic) not ideal for barra so im told. We were all first timers ,Chris was fantastic teaching us... More

First time top end fishing for me from Ballarat, and a mate from Melbourne. Cold weather trout fishing pushed to the backs of our mind, with the lure of better and bigger things, and warmer weather. Fished with Chris Jones who was both a great teacher and guide. Two days in the harbour with the highlight a session on surface... More

I have been using Chris Jones as my fishing guide for my annual fishing trip to the NT with my dad and friends since 2006. Chris is second to none. He has the best boat, gear and knowledge of the waterways you are fishing. On top of that he is great company, patient and happy to teach you the tricks... More

The fact that I’ve come back again, and again, and again – need anything else be said? In the past 3 years I’ve done two 3-day run-off safaris with Chris from River n Reef Fishing Charters – on the South Alligator River system as well as countless day trips on the magical Corroboree Billabong. Many of the trips have been... More

Fished a day with Chris on Corroboree Billabong for Saratoga. Seriously professional guide of the highest standard. Gear, vessel and knowledge are highest standard, with plenty of room to fish confidently and safely. Landed a huge amount of barramundi and saratoga using a variety of methods including surface fishing and spinnerbaits. Nothing was too much trouble and Chris ensured that... More
