We saw Arnhemland with Lords for a day and made a cruise through the Kimberley and Kakadu with other companies. Where the Kimberley art isn't really comparable because it's just different and has access issues, the artwork in Gunbalanya, Arnhemland was easily the winner for volume and authenticity. A great part of this has to do with the knowledge and... More

A wonderful experience and a privilege to be allowed to visit (and photograph) the twenty thousand year old art work in the caves.

A very informative tour of Injalak Hill with ancient paintings and campsites led by our aboriginal guide Eric.

Our tour operator, Aaron, was excellent. He provided a running commentary on the drive out & back which was very informative. We were shown through the Injalak Arts Centre and were able to watch closely as the men painted and the women weaved baskets / dillies etc.Wonderfull skills and art. One of the women was very forthcoming in relation to... More

From the moment we were picked up this trip to Arnhemland was a joy. Our driver/guide Locky was informative and entertaining. His obvious passion for the environment, wildlife, and aboriginal culture and art was infectious. Roland, our aboriginal guide to the rock art, was also informative and passionate about his heritage, and wonderfully courteous. He made the walk around the... More

The experience offered by Lord Safaris was brilliant. Stunning ancient rocky escarpment scenery; the local indigenous history - painted in those ancient rocks; and the contemporary local culture connected to create the feeling of a timeless place. The lunch high on Injalak Hill was magic. The visit to Injalak Art Co-op to see the Gunbalanya artists at work was fantastic,... More

We were picked up at the hotel on time. Our guide gave us very interesting and clear information on Arnhemland while driving. Visit to aboriginal working place was very nice. We would have appreciated a longer time in the shop because it really was a nice shop with beautiful items. The climb towards the top of the mountain with Thommo... More

Fantastic day tour into Arnhemland. Very informative, friendly guide. Well planned trip visiting the local art centre and engaging Aboriginal guided walk into local, escarpment. A challenging walk but well worth it. The rock art is extensive and the best we've seen. Comfortable 4wd tour bus.

We were picked up by our guide who drove us to Arnhemland. He gave us lots of interesting information about the area and also prepared us for our visit to Arnhemland. At the art centre in Arnhemland we were able to watch artists at work and we visited the shop where their work was displayed. The shop was amazing and... More

My wife, inlaws, and I went on this trip in mid July and had a great time. Our main tour guide for the day was able to give us a lot of insights into the park and Aboriginal culture. The Aboriginal guide for the hike into the rocks was good as well, and it was great to experience some genuine... More
