Do the Helicopter ride. It's expensive, but a real treat. This was my 4th time to Uluru and first time in the air. An awesome experience to see the entire area, the relationship of the 3 geographical structures in the area.

I opted to do the scenic flight rather than the full walk around Uluru. Never regretted the idea since up there, I got to see the magnificent aerial view of the Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Mt Conner in one line! As well, the huge Salk lake can be seen from the distant!

We splurged and flew over Ayers Rock and the Olgas - worth it to see how spectacular and grand they are from the air. You can see Ayers Rock when you fly out from the airport if you are on the right hand side of the plane.
